So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day. [1:19] And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her . [5:4] And when they arose early on the morrow morning, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of the LORD; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold; only the stump of Dagon was left to him . |

| I Samuel 10:1-10 | [10:1] Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the LORD hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance? [10:3] Then shalt thou go on forward from thence, and thou shalt come to the plain of Tabor, and there shall meet thee three men going up to God to Bethel, one carrying three kids, and another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a bottle of wine: [10:4] And they will salute thee, and give thee two loaves of bread; which thou shalt receive of their hands. |

hand

And David spake unto the LORD
when

And she said, An old man cometh up ; and he is covered with a mantle. And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground, and bowed himself. [28:15] And Samuel said to Saul , Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered , I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do. [28:16] Then said Samuel, Wherefore then dost thou ask of me, seeing the LORD is departed from thee, and is become thine enemy? |
| See above | [28:17] And the LORD hath done to him, as he spake by me: for the LORD hath rent the kingdom out of thine hand, and given it to thy neighbour, even to David: [28:18] Because thou obeyedst not the voice of the LORD, nor executedst his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath the LORD done this thing unto thee this day. [13:5] The altar also was rent, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of the LORD. [13:6] And the king answered and said unto the man of God, Intreat now the face of the LORD thy God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again. [13:27] And he spake to his sons, saying, Saddle me the ass. And they saddled him. [13:28] And he went and found his carcase cast in the way, and the ass and the lion standing by the carcase: the lion had not eaten the carcase, nor torn the ass . [13:29] And the prophet took up the carcase of the man of God, and laid it upon the ass, and brought it back: and the old prophet came to the city, to mourn and to bury him. |

[14:6] And it was so, when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet, as she came in at the door, that he said, Come in, thou wife of Jeroboam; why feignest thou thyself to be another? for I am sent to thee with heavy tidings. [18:41] And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain. [18:42 So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees, [18:43] And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times. [18:44] And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man's hand. [5:12] Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage. [5:13] And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean? [9:12] Moreover thou leddest them in the day by a cloudy pillar; and in the night by a pillar of fire , to give them light in the way wherein they should go. [9:13] Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven , and gavest them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments: [9:14] And madest known unto them thy holy sabbath, and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant: [9:15] And gavest them bread from heaven for their hunger, and broughtest forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and promisedst them that they should go in to possess the land which thou hadst sworn to give them. |

[9:21] Yea, forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing ; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not. [9:22] Moreover thou gavest them kingdoms and nations, and didst divide them into corners: so they possessed the land of Sihon, and the land of the king of Heshbon, and the land of Og king of Bashan. | Psalms 78:13-31 | [78:11] And forgat his works , and his wonders that he had shewed them. [78:12] Marvellous things did he in the sight of their fathers, in the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan. [78:13] He divided the sea , and caused them to pass through; and he made the waters to stand as an heap. [78:14] In the daytime also he led them with a cloud , and all the night with a light of fire . [78:15] He clave the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink as out of the great depths. [78:16] He brought streams also out of the rock , and caused waters to run down like rivers. |
| See above | [78:17] And they sinned yet more against him by provoking the most High in the wilderness. [78:18] And they tempted God in their heart by asking meat for their lust. [78:19] Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness? [78:20] Behold, he smote the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed; can he give bread also? can he provide flesh for his people? [78:21] Therefore the LORD heard this, and was wroth: so a fire was kindled against Jacob, and anger also came up against Israel; [78:22] Because they believed not in God, and trusted not in his salvation: |
| See above | [78:23] Though he had commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of heaven , [78:24] And had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given them of the corn of heaven. [78:25] Man did eat angels' food : he sent them meat to the full. [78:26] He caused an east wind to blow in the heaven: and by his power he brought in the south wind . [78:27] He rained flesh also upon them as dust, and feathered fowls like as the sand of the sea: [78:28] And he let it fall in the midst of their camp , round about their habitations. [78:29] So they did eat, and were well filled: for he gave them their own desire; [78:30] They were not estranged from their lust. But while their meat was yet in their mouths, [78:31] The wrath of God came upon them, and slew the fattest of them , and smote down the chosen men of Israel. |
| Psalms 78:43-53 | [78:43] How
he had wrought his signs in Egypt
, and his wonders in the field of Zoan:

[78:46] He gave also their increase unto the caterpiller , and their labour unto the locust . [78:47] He destroyed their vines with hail , and their sycomore trees with frost . [78:48] He gave up their cattle also to the hail , and their flocks to hot thunderbolts . [78:49] He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them . [78:50] He made a way to his anger; he spared not their soul from death, but gave their life over to the pestilence ; [78:51] And smote all the firstborn in Egypt ; the chief of their strength in the tabernacles of Ham: [78:52] But made his own people to go forth like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock. |

[105:29] He turned their waters into blood , and slew their fish . [105:30] Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings. [105:31] He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies , and lice in all their coasts. [105:32] He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land. [6:2] Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. [6:3] And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. [6:4] And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. [6:5] Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. [6:6] Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: [6:7] And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged. |
| See above | [6:8] Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. [6:9] And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. [6:10] Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed. [6:11] Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate, |

[1:6] And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings. [1:7] And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass. [1:8] And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings. [2:2] And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me , and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me. [2:4] For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD. [40:4] And the man said unto me , Son of man, behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears, and set thine heart upon all that I shall shew thee; for to the intent that I might shew them unto thee art thou brought hither: declare all that thou seest to the house of Israel. |

[2:28] But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days . Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these; [2:45] Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter : and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire. [3:27] And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them . |

| Daniel 8:1-2 | [8:1] In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared unto me , even unto me Daniel, after that which appeared unto me at the first. [8:2] And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in a vision , and I was by the river of Ulai. |
| Daniel 8:13-19 | [8:13] Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? [8:14] And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed. [8:15] And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man . [8:16] And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel , make this man to understand the vision. [8:17] So he came near where I stood : and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision. |
| See above | [8:18] Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright . (Apparently someone spoke to the angel Gabriel, then Gabriel spoke to Daniel.) |
| Daniel 9:20-23 | [9:20] And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God; [9:21] Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly , touched me about the time of the evening oblation. [9:22] And he informed me, and talked with me , and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding. [9:23] At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision. |

| Daniel 10:4-12 | [10:4] And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel; [10:5] Then I lifted up mine eyes , and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz: [10:6] His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude. [10:7] And I Daniel alone saw the vision : for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them , so that they fled to hide themselves. [10:8] Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength. [10:9] Yet heard I the voice of his words : and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground. |
| See above | [10:10] And, behold, an hand touched me , which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands. [10:11] And he said unto me , O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling. [10:12] Then said he unto me , Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard , and I am come for thy words . |
| Daniel 10:14-16 | [10:14] Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days. [10:15] And when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb. [10:16] And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength. [12:7] And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. [11:3] I taught Ephraim also to go, taking them by their arms; but they knew not that I healed them . [11:4] I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat unto them . |

[4:8] And it came to pass, when the sun did arise, that God prepared a vehement east wind ; and the sun beat upon the head of Jonah, that he fainted, and wished in himself to die, and said, It is better for me to die than to live. [4:9] And God said to Jonah , Doest thou well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry, even unto death. [4:10] Then said the LORD , Thou hast had pity on the gourd, for the which thou hast not laboured, neither madest it grow; which came up in a night, and perished in a night: |

[1:11] And they answered the angel of the LORD that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest. [1:12] Then the angel of the LORD answered and said , O LORD of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these threescore and ten years? [1:13] And the LORD answered the angel that talked with me with good words and comfortable words. [8:9] For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. [8:11] And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. [17:16] And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.
