REFERENCE PROPHECY23 - THE RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH
King James Version The word "rapture" is not in the King James Bible, but the Latin word "rapere" does occur in the Latin version of the Bible in I Thessalonians 4:17, where also in the Greek, the word "harpadzo" is used, meaning "caught up".

Genesis 19:17-22 [19:17] And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.
