REFERENCE PROPHECY23 - THE RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH
King James Version The word "rapture" is not in the King James Bible, but the Latin word "rapere" does occur in the Latin version of the Bible in I Thessalonians 4:17, where also in the Greek, the word "harpadzo" is used, meaning "caught up".
Genesis 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. (Representative of the rapture)
Genesis 19:17-22 [19:17] And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed. [19:18] And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my LORD: [19:19] Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die: [19:20] Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live. [19:21] And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken. [19:22] Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do anything till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar. (Representative of the rapture)
II Kings 2:11-12 [2:11] And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. [2:12] And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces. (Representative of the rapture)
John 6:39-40 [6:39] And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. [6:40] And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 14:1-6 [14:1] Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. [14:2] In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. [14:3] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again , and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. [14:4] And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. [14:5] Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? [14:6] Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him .
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
I Corinthians 15:51-58 [15:51] Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, [15:52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed . [15:53] For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. [15:54] So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. [15:55] O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? [15:56] The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. [15:57] But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. [15:58] Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
I Thessalonians 1:10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come .
I Thessalonians 4:13-18 [4:13] But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. [4:14] For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. [4:15] For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. [4:16] For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: [4:17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. [4:18] Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
I Thessalonians 5:4-9 [5:4] But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. [5:5] Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. [5:6] Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. [5:7] For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. [5:8] But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. [5:9] For God hath not appointed us to wrath , but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
II Timothy 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
