約伯記 Job

35:1	[hb5]	以利戶又說、
	[bbe]	And Elihu made answer and said,
35:2	[hb5]	你以為有理、或以為你的公義勝於　神的公義、
	[bbe]	Does it seem to you to be right, and righteousness before God, to say,
35:3	[hb5]	纔說、這與我有甚麼益處．我不犯罪比犯罪有甚麼好處呢。
	[bbe]	What profit is it to me, and how am I better off than if I had done wrong?
35:4	[hb5]	我要回答你、和在你這裡的朋友。
	[bbe]	I will make answer to you and to your friends:
35:5	[hb5]	你要向天觀看、瞻望那高於你的穹蒼。
	[bbe]	Let your eyes be turned to the heavens, and lifted up to see the skies; they are higher than you.
35:6	[hb5]	你若犯罪、能使　神受何害呢．你的過犯加增、能使　神受何損呢。
	[bbe]	If you have done wrong, is he any the worse for it? and if your sins are great in number, what is it to him?
35:7	[hb5]	你若是公義、還能加增他甚麼呢．他從你手裡還接受甚麼呢。
	[bbe]	If you are upright, what do you give to him? or what does he take from your hand?
35:8	[hb5]	你的過惡或能害你這類的人．你的公義或能叫世人得益處。
	[bbe]	Your evil-doing may have an effect on a man like yourself, or your righteousness on a son of man.
35:9	[hb5]	人因多受欺壓就哀求．因受能者的轄制〔轄制原文作膀臂〕便求救、
	[bbe]	Because the hand of the cruel is hard on them, men are making sounds of grief; they are crying out for help because of the arm of the strong.
35:10	[hb5]	卻無人說、造我的　神在那裡．他使人夜間歌唱。
	[bbe]	But no one has said, Where is God my Maker, who gives songs in the night;
35:11	[hb5]	教訓我們勝於地上的走獸、使我們有聰明勝於空中的飛鳥。
	[bbe]	Who gives us more knowledge than the beasts of the earth, and makes us wiser than the birds of the heaven?
35:12	[hb5]	他們在那裡、因惡人的驕傲呼求、卻無人答應。
	[bbe]	There they are crying out because of the pride of the evil-doers, but he gives them no answer.
35:13	[hb5]	虛妄的呼求、　神必不垂聽、全能者也必不眷顧。
	[bbe]	But God will not give ear to what is false, or the Ruler of all take note of it;
35:14	[hb5]	何況你說、你不得見他、你的案件在他面前、你等候他罷。
	[bbe]	How much less when you say that you do not see him; that the cause is before him, and you are waiting for him.
35:15	[hb5]	但如今因他未曾發怒降罰、也不甚理會狂傲．
	[bbe]	And now ... ;
35:16	[hb5]	所以約伯開口說虛妄的話、多發無知識的言語。
	[bbe]	And Job's mouth is open wide to give out what is of no profit, increasing words without knowledge.
