撒母耳記上 1 Samuel

31:1	[hb5]	非利士人與以色列人爭戰．以色列人在非利士人面前逃跑、在基利波有被殺仆倒的。
	[kjv]	Now the Philistines fought against Israel: and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines, and fell down slain in mount Gilboa.
	[bbe]	Now the Philistines were fighting against Israel: and the men of Israel went in flight before the Philistines, falling down wounded in Mount Gilboa.
31:2	[hb5]	非利士人緊追掃羅和他兒子們、就殺了掃羅的兒子約拿單、亞比拿達、麥基舒亞。
	[kjv]	And the Philistines followed hard upon Saul and upon his sons; and the Philistines slew Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Melchishua, Saul's sons.
	[bbe]	And the Philistines overtook Saul and his sons; and they put to death Jonathan and Abinadab and Malchi-shua, the sons of Saul.
31:3	[hb5]	勢派甚大．掃羅被弓箭手追上、射傷甚重。
	[kjv]	And the battle went sore against Saul, and the archers hit him; and he was sore wounded of the archers.
	[bbe]	And the fight was going badly for Saul, and the archers came across him, and he was wounded by the archers.
31:4	[hb5]	就吩咐拿他兵器的人說、你拔出刀來、將我刺死、免得那些未受割禮的人來刺我、凌辱我．但拿兵器的人甚懼怕、不肯刺他．掃羅就自己伏在刀上死了。
	[kjv]	Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.
	[bbe]	Then Saul said to the servant who had the care of his arms, Take out your sword and put it through me, before these men without circumcision come and make sport of me. But his servant, full of fear, would not do so. Then Saul took out his sword, and falling on it, put an end to himself.
31:5	[hb5]	拿兵器的人見掃羅已死、也伏在刀上死了。
	[kjv]	And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise upon his sword, and died with him.
	[bbe]	And when his servant saw that Saul was dead, he did the same, and was united with him in death.
31:6	[hb5]	這樣、掃羅和他三個兒子、與拿他兵器的人、以及跟隨他的人、都一同死亡。
	[kjv]	So Saul died, and his three sons, and his armourbearer, and all his men, that same day together.
	[bbe]	So death overtook Saul and his three sons and his servant on the same day.
31:7	[hb5]	住平原那邊並約但河西的以色列人、見以色列軍兵逃跑、掃羅和他兒子都死了、也就棄城逃跑．非利士人便來住在其中。
	[kjv]	And when the men of Israel that were on the other side of the valley, and they that were on the other side Jordan, saw that the men of Israel fled, and that Saul and his sons were dead, they forsook the cities, and fled; and the Philistines came and dwelt in them.
	[bbe]	And when the men of Israel across the valley and on the other side of Jordan saw that the army of Israel was in flight and that Saul and his sons were dead, they came out of their towns and went in flight; and the Philistines came and took them for themselves.
31:8	[hb5]	次日非利士人來剝那被殺之人的衣服、看見掃羅和他三個兒子仆倒在基利波山．
	[kjv]	And it came to pass on the morrow, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, that they found Saul and his three sons fallen in mount Gilboa.
	[bbe]	Now on the day after, when the Philistines came to take their goods from the dead, they saw Saul and his three sons dead on the earth in Mount Gilboa.
31:9	[hb5]	就割下他的首級、剝了他的軍裝、打發人到非利士地的四境、〔到或作送到〕報信與他們廟裡的偶像、和眾民。
	[kjv]	And they cut off his head, and stripped off his armour, and sent into the land of the Philistines round about, to publish it in the house of their idols, and among the people.
	[bbe]	And cutting off his head and taking away his war-dress, they sent word into the land of the Philistines round about, to take the news to their gods and to the people.
31:10	[hb5]	又將掃羅的軍裝放在亞斯他錄廟裡、將他的屍身釘在伯珊的城牆上。
	[kjv]	And they put his armour in the house of Ashtaroth: and they fastened his body to the wall of Bethshan.
	[bbe]	His war-dress they put in the house of Astarte; and his body was fixed on the wall of Beth-shan.
31:11	[hb5]	基列雅比的居民聽見非利士人向掃羅所行的事、
	[kjv]	And when the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead heard of that which the Philistines had done to Saul;
	[bbe]	And when the people of Jabesh-gilead had news of what the Philistines had done to Saul,
31:12	[hb5]	他們中間所有的勇士就起身、走了一夜、將掃羅和他兒子的屍身從伯珊城牆上取下來、送到雅比那裡、用火燒了．
	[kjv]	All the valiant men arose, and went all night, and took the body of Saul and the bodies of his sons from the wall of Bethshan, and came to Jabesh, and burnt them there.
	[bbe]	All the fighting men got up and, travelling all night, took Saul's body and the bodies of his sons from the wall of Beth-shan; and they came to Jabesh and had them burned there.
31:13	[hb5]	將他們骸骨葬在雅比的垂絲柳樹下、就禁食七日。
	[kjv]	And they took their bones, and buried them under a tree at Jabesh, and fasted seven days.
	[bbe]	And their bones they put in the earth under a tree in Jabesh; and for seven days they took no food.
