2:1	[hb5]	耶和華要用旋風接以利亞昇天的時候、以利亞與以利沙從吉甲前往。
	[kjv]	And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.
	[bbe]	Now when the Lord was about to take Elijah up to heaven in a great wind, Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.
2:2	[hb5]	以利亞對以利沙說、耶和華差我往伯特利去、你可以在這裡等候．以利沙說、我指著永生的耶和華、又敢在你面前起誓、我必不離開你。於是二人下到伯特利。
	[kjv]	And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said unto him, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel.
	[bbe]	And Elijah said to Elisha, Come no farther for the Lord has sent me to Beth-el. But Elisha said, As the Lord is living and as your soul is living, I will not be parted from you. So they went down to Beth-el.
2:3	[hb5]	住伯特利的先知門徒出來見以利沙、對他說、耶和華今日要接你的師傅離開你、你知道不知道。他說、我知道．你們不要作聲。
	[kjv]	And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.
	[bbe]	And at Beth-el the sons of the prophets came out to Elisha and said, Has it been made clear to you that the Lord is going to take away your master from over you today? And he said, Yes, I have knowledge of it: say no more.
2:4	[hb5]	以利亞對以利沙說、耶和華差遣我往耶利哥去、你可以在這裡等候．以利沙說、我指著永生的耶和華、又敢在你面前起誓、我必不離開你。於是二人到了耶利哥。
	[kjv]	And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they came to Jericho.
	[bbe]	Then Elijah said to him, Come no farther, for the Lord has sent me to Jericho. But he said, As the Lord is living and as your soul is living, I will not be parted from you. So they went on to Jericho.
2:5	[hb5]	住耶利哥的先知門徒就近以利沙、對他說、耶和華今日要接你的師傅離開你、你知道不知道。他說、我知道．你們不要作聲。
	[kjv]	And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he answered, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.
	[bbe]	And at Jericho the sons of the prophets came up to Elisha and said to him, Has it been made clear to you that the Lord is going to take away your master from over you today? And he said in answer, Yes, I have knowledge of it: say no more.
2:6	[hb5]	以利亞對以利沙說、耶和華差遣我往約但河去、你可以在這裡等候．以利沙說、我指著永生的耶和華、又敢在你面前起誓、我必不離開你。於是二人一同前往。
	[kjv]	And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I pray thee, here; for the LORD hath sent me to Jordan. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And they two went on.
	[bbe]	Then Elijah said to him, Come no farther, for the Lord has sent me to Jordan. But he said, As the Lord is living and as your soul is living, I will not be parted from you. So they went on together.
2:7	[hb5]	有先知門徒去了五十人、遠遠的站在他們對面．二人在約但河邊站住。
	[kjv]	And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went, and stood to view afar off: and they two stood by Jordan.
	[bbe]	And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went out and took their places facing them a long way off, while the two of them were by the edge of Jordan.
2:8	[hb5]	以利亞將自己的外衣捲起來、用以打水、水就左右分開、二人走乾地而過。
	[kjv]	And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.
	[bbe]	Then Elijah took off his robe, and, rolling it up, gave the water a blow with it, and the waters were parted, flowing back this way and that, so that they went over on dry land.
2:9	[hb5]	過去之後、以利亞對以利沙說、我未曾被接去離開你、你要我為你作甚麼只管求我。以利沙說、願感動你的靈加倍的感動我。
	[kjv]	And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.
	[bbe]	And when they had come to the other side, Elijah said to Elisha, Say what you would have me do for you before I am taken from you. And Elisha said, Be pleased to let a special measure of your spirit be on me.
2:10	[hb5]	以利亞說、你所求的難得、雖然如此、我被接去離開你的時候、你若看見我、就必得著．不然、必得不著了。
	[kjv]	And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.
	[bbe]	And he said, You have made a hard request: still, if you see me when I am taken from you, you will get your desire; but if not, it will not be so.
2:11	[hb5]	他們正走著說話、忽有火車火馬、將二人隔開、以利亞就乘旋風昇天去了。
	[kjv]	And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
	[bbe]	And while they went on their way, going on talking together, suddenly there were carriages and horses of fire separating them from one another and Elijah went up to heaven in a great wind.
2:12	[hb5]	以利沙看見、就呼叫說、我父阿、我父阿、以色列的戰車馬兵阿。以後不再見他了．於是以利沙把自己的衣服撕為兩片。
	[kjv]	And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.
	[bbe]	And when Elisha saw it he gave a cry, My father, my father, the carriages of Israel and its horsemen! And he saw him no longer; and he was full of grief.
2:13	[hb5]	他拾起以利亞身上掉下來的外衣、回去站在約但河邊。
	[kjv]	He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;
	[bbe]	Then he took up Elijah's robe, which had been dropped from him, and went back till he came to the edge of Jordan.
2:14	[hb5]	他用以利亞身上掉下來的外衣、打水、說、耶和華、以利亞的　神在哪裡呢。打水之後、水也左右分開、以利沙就過來了。
	[kjv]	And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.
	[bbe]	And he took Elijah's robe, which had been dropped from him, and giving the water a blow with it, said, Where is the Lord, the God of Elijah? and at his blow the waters were parted this way and that; and Elisha went over.
2:15	[hb5]	住耶利哥的先知門徒從對面看見他、就說、感動以利亞的靈感動以利沙了。他們就來迎接他、在他面前俯伏於地、
	[kjv]	And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.
	[bbe]	And when the sons of the prophets who were facing him at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah is resting on Elisha. And they came out to him, and went down on the earth before him.
2:16	[hb5]	對他說、僕人們這裡有五十個壯士．求你容他們去尋找你師傅、或者耶和華的靈將他提起來、投在某山某谷。以利沙說、你們不必打發人去。
	[kjv]	And they said unto him, Behold now, there be with thy servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray thee, and seek thy master: lest peradventure the Spirit of the LORD hath taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some valley. And he said, Ye shall not send.
	[bbe]	And they said, Your servants have with us here fifty strong men; be pleased to let them go in search of Elijah; for it may be that the spirit of the Lord has taken him up and put him down on some mountain or in some valley. But he said, Do not send them.
2:17	[hb5]	他們再三催促他、他難以推辭、就說、你們打發人去罷。他們便打發五十人去、尋找了三天、也沒有找著。
	[kjv]	And when they urged him till he was ashamed, he said, Send. They sent therefore fifty men; and they sought three days, but found him not.
	[bbe]	But when they kept on requesting him, he was shamed and said, Send, then. So they sent fifty men; but after searching for three days, they came back without having seen him.
2:18	[hb5]	以利沙仍然在耶利哥、等候他們回到他那裡．他對他們說、我豈沒有告訴你們、不必去麼。
	[kjv]	And when they came again to him, (for he tarried at Jericho,) he said unto them, Did I not say unto you, Go not?
	[bbe]	And they came back to him, while he was still at Jericho; and he said to them, Did I not say to you, Go not?
2:19	[hb5]	耶利哥城的人對以利沙說、這城的地勢美好、我主看見了．只是水惡劣、土產不熟而落。
	[kjv]	And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren.
	[bbe]	Now the men of the town said to Elisha, You see that the position of this town is good; but the water is bad, causing the young of the cattle to come to birth dead.
2:20	[hb5]	以利沙說、你們拿一個新瓶來裝鹽給我、他們就拿來給他。
	[kjv]	And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him.
	[bbe]	So he said, Get me a new vessel, and put salt in it; and they took it to him.
2:21	[hb5]	他出到水源、將鹽倒在水中、說、耶和華如此說、我治好了這水、從此必不再使人死、也不再使地土不生產。
	[kjv]	And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land.
	[bbe]	Then he went out to the spring from which the water came, and put salt in it, and said, The Lord says, Now I have made this water sweet; no longer will it be death-giving or unfertile.
2:22	[hb5]	於是那水治好了、直到今日、正如以利沙所說的。
	[kjv]	So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake.
	[bbe]	And the water was made sweet again to this day, as Elisha said.
2:23	[hb5]	以利沙從那裡上伯特利去．正上去的時候、有些童子從城裡出來、戲笑他、說、禿頭的上去罷、禿頭的上去罷。
	[kjv]	And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.
	[bbe]	Then from there he went up to Beth-el; and on his way, some little boys came out from the town and made sport of him, crying, Go up, old no-hair! go up, old no-hair!
2:24	[hb5]	他回頭看見、就奉耶和華的名咒詛他們。於是有兩個母熊從林中出來、撕裂他們中間四十二個童子。
	[kjv]	And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.
	[bbe]	And turning back, he saw them, and put a curse on them in the name of the Lord. And two she-bears came out of the wood and put forty-two of the children to death.
2:25	[hb5]	以利沙從伯特利上迦密山、又從迦密山回到撒瑪利亞。
	[kjv]	And he went from thence to mount Carmel, and from thence he returned to Samaria.
	[bbe]	From there he went to Mount Carmel, and came back from there to Samaria.
