帖撒罗尼迦前书 1 Thessalonians

5:1	[hgb]	弟兄们，论到时候日期，不用写信给你们。
	[bbe]	But about the times and their order, my brothers, there is no need for me to say anything to you.
5:2	[hgb]	因为你们自己明明晓得，主的日子来到，好像夜间的贼一样。
	[bbe]	For you yourselves have the knowledge that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.
5:3	[hgb]	人正说平安稳妥的时候，灾祸忽然临到他们，如同产难临到怀胎的妇人一样，他们绝不能逃脱。
	[bbe]	When they say, There is peace and no danger, then sudden destruction will come on them, as birth-pains on a woman with child; and they will not be able to get away from it.
5:4	[hgb]	弟兄们，你们却不在黑暗里，叫那日子临到你们像贼一样。
	[bbe]	But you, my brothers, are not in the dark, for that day to overtake you like a thief:
5:5	[hgb]	你们都是光明之子，都是白昼之子，我们不是属黑夜的，也不是属幽暗的。
	[bbe]	For you are all sons of light and of the day: we are not of the night or of the dark.
5:6	[hgb]	所以我们不要睡觉，像别人一样，总要儆醒谨守。
	[bbe]	So then, let us not take our rest as the others do, but let us be self-controlled and awake.
5:7	[hgb]	因为睡了的人是在夜间睡。醉了的人是在夜间醉。
	[bbe]	For those who are sleeping do so in the night; and those who are the worse for drink are so in the night;
5:8	[hgb]	但我们既然属乎白昼，就应当谨守，把信和爱当作护心镜遮胸。把得救的盼望当作头盔戴上。
	[bbe]	But let us, who are of the day, be serious, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and on our heads, the hope of salvation.
5:9	[hgb]	因为神不是预定我们受刑，乃是预定我们借着我们主耶稣基督得救。
	[bbe]	For God's purpose for us is not wrath, but salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
5:10	[hgb]	他替我们死，叫我们无论醒着睡着，都与他同活。
	[bbe]	Who was put to death for us, so that, awake or sleeping, we may have a part in his life.
5:11	[hgb]	所以你们该彼此劝慰，互相建立，正如你们素常所行的。
	[bbe]	So then, go on comforting and building up one another, as you have been doing.
5:12	[hgb]	弟兄们，我们劝你们敬重那在你们中间劳苦的人，就是在主里面治理你们，劝戒你们的。
	[bbe]	But we make this request to you, my brothers: give attention to those who are working among you, who are over you in the Lord to keep order among you;
5:13	[hgb]	又因他们所作的工，用爱心格外尊重他们，你们也要彼此和睦。
	[bbe]	And have a high opinion of them in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.
5:14	[hgb]	我们又劝弟兄们，要警戒不守规矩的人。勉励灰心的人。扶助软弱的人。也要向众人忍耐。
	[bbe]	And our desire is that you will keep control over those whose lives are not well ordered, giving comfort to the feeble-hearted, supporting those with little strength, and putting up with much from all.
5:15	[hgb]	你们要谨慎，无论是谁都不可以恶报恶。或是彼此相待，或是待众人，常要追求良善。
	[bbe]	Let no one give evil for evil; but ever go after what is good, for one another and for all.
5:16	[hgb]	要常常喜乐。
	[bbe]	Have joy at all times.
5:17	[hgb]	不住地祷告。
	[bbe]	Keep on with your prayers.
5:18	[hgb]	凡事谢恩。因为这是神在基督耶稣里向你们所定的旨意。
	[bbe]	In everything give praise: for this is the purpose of God in Christ Jesus for you.
5:19	[hgb]	不要消灭圣灵的感动。
	[bbe]	Do not put out the light of the Spirit;
5:20	[hgb]	不要藐视先知的讲论。
	[bbe]	Do not make little of the words of the prophets;
5:21	[hgb]	但要凡事察验。善美的要持守。
	[bbe]	Let all things be tested; keep to what is good;
5:22	[hgb]	各样的恶事要禁戒不作。
	[bbe]	Keep from every form of evil.
5:23	[hgb]	愿赐平安的神，亲自使你们全然成圣。又愿你们的灵，与魂，与身子，得蒙保守，在我主耶稣基督降临的时候，完全无可指摘。
	[bbe]	And may the God of peace himself make you holy in every way; and may your spirit and soul and body be free from all sin at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
5:24	[hgb]	那召你们的本是信实的，他必成就这事。
	[bbe]	God, by whom you have been marked out in his purpose, is unchanging and will make it complete.
5:25	[hgb]	请弟兄们为我们祷告。
	[bbe]	Brothers, keep us in mind in your prayers.
5:26	[hgb]	与众弟兄亲嘴问安务要圣洁。
	[bbe]	Give all the brothers a holy kiss.
5:27	[hgb]	我指着主嘱咐你们，要把这信念给众弟兄听。
	[bbe]	I give orders in the name of the Lord that all the brothers are to be present at the reading of this letter.
5:28	[hgb]	愿我主耶稣基督的恩常与你们同在。
	[bbe]	The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
