ANOINTED OF THE LORD OR THE LORD'S ANOINTED

I Samuel 2:10

The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed .

I Samuel 2:34-35

[2:34] And this shall be a sign unto thee, that shall come upon thy two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas; in one day they shall die both of them. [2:35] And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever. (God was talking to Eli through a man of God.)

I Samuel 12:3

Behold, here I am: witness against me before the LORD, and before his anointed : whose ox have I taken? or whose ass have I taken? or whom have I defrauded? whom have I oppressed? or of whose hand have I received any bribe to blind mine eyes therewith? and I will restore it you.

I Samuel 12:5

And he said unto them, The LORD is witness against you, and his anointed is witness this day, that ye have not found ought in my hand. And they answered, He is witness.

I Samuel 15:17

And Samuel said, When thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the LORD anointed thee king over Israel ? (Samuel was speaking to Saul)

I Samuel 16:6

And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the LORD's anointed is before him. (This occurred as Samuel was selecting David as king)

I Samuel 24:6

And he said unto his men, The LORD forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the LORD's anointed , to stretch forth mine hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the LORD . (David is speaking of Saul)

I Samuel 24:10

Behold, this day thine eyes have seen how that the LORD had delivered thee to day into mine hand in the cave: and some bade me kill thee: but mine eye spared thee; and I said, I will not put forth mine hand against my lord; for he is the LORD's anointed. (David is speaking of Saul)

And David said to Abishai, Destroy him not: for who can stretch forth his hand against the LORD's anointed , and be guiltless? (David is speaking of Saul)

II Samuel 1:14

And David said unto him, How wast thou not afraid to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the LORD's anointed ? (David is speaking of Saul)

II Samuel 1:16

And David said unto him, Thy blood be upon thy head; for thy mouth hath testified against thee, saying, I have slain the LORD's anointed . (David is speaking of Saul)

II Samuel 19:21
