EVIL REPORT

Genesis 37:2

These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brethren; and the lad was with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, his father's wives: and Joseph brought unto his father their evil report . (Joseph brought an "evil report" about his brothers to Jacob, his father)

Numbers 13:32

And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. (The spies, save Caleb & Joshua, brought back an "evil report" about the land of Canaan to Moses)

Numbers 14:36-37

[14:36] And the men, which Moses sent to search the land, who returned, and made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up a slander upon the land, [14:37] Even those men that did bring up the evil report upon the land, died by the plague before the LORD. (The spies who brought back an "evil report" about the land of Canaan to Moses were killed by God)

Nehemiah 6:13

Therefore was he hired, that I should be afraid, and do so, and sin, and that they might have matter for an evil report , that they might reproach me. (The messengers of Sanballat and Geshem brought an "evil report" to Nehemiah)

II Corinthians 6:8

By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;
