Matthew 19:5-6 [19:5] And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh ? [19:6] Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh . What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

Mark 10:8 And they twain shall be one flesh : so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.

I Corinthians 6:16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh .
I Corinthians 7:3-5 [7:3] Let the husband render unto the wife her due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. [7:4] The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. [7:5] Defraud ye not one another, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. (incontinency - want of self-restraint)
Ephesians 5:25-32 [5:25] Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; [5:26] That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, [5:27] That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. [5:28] So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. [5:29] For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: [5:30] For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. [5:31] For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh . [5:32] This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. [5:33] Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband .
