REFERENCE PROPHECY39- THE GREAT TRIBULATION
Psalms 2:1-3 [2:1] Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? [2:2] The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, [2:3] Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
Isaiah 63:1-6 [63:1] Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save. [63:2] Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat? [63:3] I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. [63:4] For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. [63:5] And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me. [63:6] And I will tread down the people in mine anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth.
Jeremiah 30:7-8 [30:7] Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble, but he shall be saved out of it. [30:8] For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:
Daniel 7:21-22 [7:21] I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; [7:22] Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.
Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
Joel 2:1-2 [2:1] Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; [2:2] A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.
Zechariah 11:16 For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, which shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces.
Zechariah 13:8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.
Matthew 24:15-31 [24:15] When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) [24:16] Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: [24:17] Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: [24:18] Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. [24:19] And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! [24:20] But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: [24:21] For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. [24:22] And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. [24:23] Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
See above [24:24] For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. [24:25] Behold, I have told you before. 24:26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. [24:27] For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. [24:28] For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. [24:29] Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: [24:30] And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
See above [24:31] And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Mark 13:14-37 [13:14] But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains: [13:15] And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house: [13:16] And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment. [13:17] But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! [13:18] And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter. [13:19] For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. [13:20] And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.
See above [13:21] And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not: [13:22] For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. [13:23] But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things. [13:24] But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, [13:25] And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. [13:26] And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. [13:27] And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven. [13:28] Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:
See above [13:29] So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors. [13:30] Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done. [13:31] Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. [13:32] But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. [13:33] Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. [13:34] For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. [13:35] Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: [13:36] Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. [13:37] And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
Luke 17:26-30 [17:26] And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. [17:27] They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. [17:28] Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; [17:29] But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. [17:30] Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
Revelation 6:3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. (This marks the start of the Great Tribulation)
Revelation 19:21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh. (This marks the end of the Great Tribulation)
