I Kings 17:17-22 [17:17] And it came to pass after these things, that the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, fell sick; and his sickness was so sore, that there was no breath left in him . [17:18] And she said unto Elijah, What have I to do with thee, O thou man of God? art thou come unto me to call my sin to remembrance, and to slay my son? [17:19] And he said unto her, Give me thy son. And he took him out of her bosom, and carried him up into a loft, where he abode, and laid him upon his own bed. [17:20] And he cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, hast thou also brought evil upon the widow with whom I sojourn, by slaying her son? [17:21] And he stretched himself upon the child three times, a nd cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, I pray thee, let this child's soul come into him again. [17:22] And the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived . (Elijah brought back to life the child of the widow woman of Zerephath)
II Kings 4:32-35 [4:32] And when Elisha was come into the house, behold, the child was dead , and laid upon his bed. [4:33] He went in therefore, and shut the door upon them twain, and prayed unto the LORD. [4:34] And he went up, and lay upon the child, and put his mouth upon his mouth, and his eyes upon his eyes, and his hands upon his hands: and he stretched himself upon the child; and the flesh of the child waxed warm. [4:35] Then he returned, and walked in the house to and fro; and went up, and stretched himself upon him: and the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes . Matthew 9:18, 23-25 [9:18] While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live. [9:23] And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise, [9:24] He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. Acts 9:36-41 [9:36] Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did. [9:37] And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber. [9:38] And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them. [9:39] Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them. [9:40] But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes : and when she saw Peter, she sat up . [9:41] And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive. (Tabitha was raised by Peter)
Acts 14:19-20 [14:19] And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and, having stoned Paul , drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead . [14:20] Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up , and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe. [14:21] And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch, (Paul, at Lystra)
Acts 20:7-12 [20:7] And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight. [20:8] And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together. [20:9] And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead . [20:10] And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him. [20:11] When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed. [20:12] And they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted. (Eutychus, fell down from the 3rd loft)
