Exodus 25:13-15 [25:13] And thou shalt make staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold. [25:14] And thou shalt put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark, that the ark may be borne with them. [25:15] The staves shall be in the rings of the ark: they shall not be taken from it.
Exodus 37:4-5 [37:4] And he made staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold. [37:5] And he put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark, to bear the ark.
Exodus 40:20-21 [40:20] And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy seat above upon the ark: [40:21] And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the vail of the covering, and covered the ark of the testimony; as the LORD commanded Moses.
Numbers 4:5-6 [4:5] And when the camp setteth forward, Aaron shall come, and his sons, and they shall take down the covering vail, and cover the ark of testimony with it: [4:6] And shall put thereon the covering of badgers' skins, and shall spread over it a cloth wholly of blue, and shall put in the staves thereof.
I Kings 8:7-8 [8:7] For the cherubims spread forth their two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above. [8:8] And they drew out the staves, that the ends of the staves were seen out in the holy place before the oracle, and they were not seen without: and there they are unto this day.
I Chronicles 15:15 And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of the LORD.
II Chronicles 5:8-9 [5:8] For the cherubims spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above. [5:9] And they drew out the staves of the ark, that the ends of the staves were seen from the ark before the oracle; but they were not seen without. And there it is unto this day.
