以賽亞書 Isaiah

40:1	[hb5]	你們的　神說、你們要安慰、安慰我的百姓。
	[kjv]	Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.
	[bbe]	Give comfort, give comfort, to my people, says your God.
40:2	[hb5]	要對耶路撒冷說安慰的話、又向他宣告說、他爭戰的日子已滿了、他的罪孽赦免了、他為自己的一切罪、從耶和華手中加倍受罰。
	[kjv]	Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD's hand double for all her sins.
	[bbe]	Say kind words to the heart of Jerusalem, crying out to her that her time of trouble is ended, that her punishment is complete; that she has been rewarded by the Lord's hand twice over for all her sins.
40:3	[hb5]	有人聲喊著說、在曠野預備耶和華的路、〔或作在曠野有人聲喊著說當預備耶和華的路〕在沙漠地修平我們　神的道。
	[kjv]	The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
	[bbe]	A voice of one crying, Make ready in the waste land the way of the Lord, make level in the lowland a highway for our God.
40:4	[hb5]	一切山窪都要填滿、大小山岡都要削平、高高低低的要改為平坦、崎崎嶇嶇的必成為平原。
	[kjv]	Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
	[bbe]	Let every valley be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low, and let the rough places become level, and the hilltops become a valley,
40:5	[hb5]	耶和華的榮耀必然顯現、凡有血氣的、必一同看見、因為這是耶和華親口說的。
	[kjv]	And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
	[bbe]	And the glory of the Lord will be made clear, and all flesh will see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has said it.
40:6	[hb5]	有人聲說、你喊叫罷．有一個說、我喊叫甚麼呢．說、凡有血氣的、盡都如草、他的美容、都像野地的花。
	[kjv]	The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:
	[bbe]	A voice of one saying, Give a cry! And I said, What is my cry to be? All flesh is grass, and all its strength like the flower of the field.
40:7	[hb5]	草必枯乾、花必凋殘、因為耶和華的氣吹在其上．百姓誠然是草。
	[kjv]	The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.
	[bbe]	The grass becomes dry, the flower is dead; because the breath of the Lord goes over it: truly the people is grass.
40:8	[hb5]	草必枯乾、花必凋殘、惟有我們　神的話、必永遠立定。
	[kjv]	The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
	[bbe]	The grass is dry, the flower is dead; but the word of our God is eternal.
40:9	[hb5]	報好信息給錫安的阿、你要登高山．報好信息給耶路撒冷的阿、你要極力揚聲．揚聲不要懼怕、對猶大的城邑說、看哪、你們的　神。
	[kjv]	O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!
	[bbe]	You who give good news to Zion, get up into the high mountain; you who give good news to Jerusalem, let your voice be strong; let it be sounding without fear; say to the towns of Judah, See, your God!
40:10	[hb5]	主耶和華必像大能者臨到、他的膀臂必為他掌權．他的賞賜在他那裡、他的報應在他面前。
	[kjv]	Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.
	[bbe]	See, the Lord God will come as a strong one, ruling in power: see, those made free by him are with him, and those whom he has made safe go before him.
40:11	[hb5]	他必像牧人牧養自己的羊群、用膀臂聚集羊羔抱在懷中、慢慢引導那乳養小羊的。
	[kjv]	He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.
	[bbe]	He will give food to his flock like a keeper of sheep; with his arm he will get it together, and will take up the lambs on his breast, gently guiding those which are with young.
40:12	[hb5]	誰曾用手心量諸水、用手虎口量蒼天、用升斗盛大地的塵土、用秤稱山嶺、用天平平岡陵呢。
	[kjv]	Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?
	[bbe]	In the hollow of whose hand have the waters been measured? and who is able to take the heavens in his stretched-out fingers? who has got together the dust of the earth in a measure? who has taken the weight of the mountains, or put the hills into the scales?
40:13	[hb5]	誰曾測度耶和華的心、〔或作誰曾指示耶和華的靈〕、或作他的謀士指教他呢。
	[kjv]	Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him?
	[bbe]	By whom has the spirit of the Lord been guided, or who has been his teacher?
40:14	[hb5]	他與誰商議、誰教導他、誰將公平的路指示他、又將知識教訓他、將通達的道指教他呢。
	[kjv]	With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding?
	[bbe]	Who gave him suggestions, and made clear to him the right way? who gave him knowledge, guiding him in the way of wisdom?
40:15	[hb5]	看哪、萬民都像水桶的一滴、又算如天平上的微塵．他舉起眾海島、好像極微之物。
	[kjv]	Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.
	[bbe]	See, the nations are to him like a drop hanging from a bucket, and like the small dust in the scales: he takes up the islands like small dust.
40:16	[hb5]	利巴嫩的樹林不夠當柴燒、其中的走獸也不夠作燔祭。
	[kjv]	And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.
	[bbe]	And Lebanon is not enough to make a fire with, or all its cattle enough for a burned offering.
40:17	[hb5]	萬民在他面前好像虛無、被他看為不及虛無、乃為虛空。
	[kjv]	All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.
	[bbe]	All the nations are as nothing before him; even less than nothing, a thing of no value.
40:18	[hb5]	你們究竟將誰比　神、用甚麼形像與　神比較呢。
	[kjv]	To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?
	[bbe]	Whom then is God like, in your opinion? or what will you put forward as a comparison with him?
40:19	[hb5]	偶像是匠人鑄造、銀匠用金包裹、為他鑄造銀鍊。
	[kjv]	The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains.
	[bbe]	The workman makes an image, and the gold-worker puts gold plates over it, and makes silver bands for it.
40:20	[hb5]	窮乏獻不起這樣供物的、就揀選不能朽壞的樹木、為自己尋找巧匠、立起不能搖動的偶像。
	[kjv]	He that is so impoverished that he hath no oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning workman to prepare a graven image, that shall not be moved.
	[bbe]	The wise workman makes selection of the mulberry-tree of the offering, a wood which will not become soft; so that the image may be fixed to it and not be moved.
40:21	[hb5]	你們豈不曾知道麼、你們豈不曾聽見麼、從起初豈沒有人告訴你們麼、自從立地的根基、你們豈沒有明白麼。
	[kjv]	Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?
	[bbe]	Have you no knowledge of it? has it not come to your ears? has not news of it been given to you from the first? has it not been clear to you from the time when the earth was placed on its base?
40:22	[hb5]	神坐在地球大圈之上、地上的居民好像蝗蟲．他鋪張穹蒼如幔子、展開諸天如可住的帳棚。
	[kjv]	It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
	[bbe]	It is he who is seated over the arch of the earth, and the people in it are as small as locusts; by him the heavens are stretched out like an arch, and made ready like a tent for a living-place.
40:23	[hb5]	他使君王歸於虛無、使地上的審判官成為虛空。
	[kjv]	That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity.
	[bbe]	He makes rulers come to nothing; the judges of the earth are of no value.
40:24	[hb5]	他們是剛纔栽上、〔剛纔或作不曾下同〕剛纔種上、根也剛纔扎在地裡、他一吹在其上、便都枯乾、旋風將他們吹去、像碎秸一樣。
	[kjv]	Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.
	[bbe]	They have only now been planted, and their seed put into the earth, and they have only now taken root, when he sends out his breath over them and they become dry, and the storm-wind takes them away like dry grass.
40:25	[hb5]	那聖者說、你們將誰比我、叫他與我相等呢。
	[kjv]	To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.
	[bbe]	Who then seems to you to be my equal? says the Holy One.
40:26	[hb5]	你們向上舉目、看誰創造這萬象、按數目領出、他一一稱其名．因他的權能、又因他的大能大力、連一個都不缺。
	[kjv]	Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.
	[bbe]	Let your eyes be lifted up on high, and see: who has made these? He who sends out their numbered army: who has knowledge of all their names: by whose great strength, because he is strong in power, all of them are in their places.
40:27	[hb5]	雅各阿、你為何說、我的道路向耶和華隱藏．以色列阿、你為何言、我的冤屈　神並不查問。
	[kjv]	Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God?
	[bbe]	Why do you say, O Jacob, such words as these, O Israel, The Lord's eyes are not on my way, and my God gives no attention to my cause?
40:28	[hb5]	你豈不曾知道麼、你豈不曾聽見麼、永在的　神耶和華、創造地極的主、並不疲乏、也不困倦．他的智慧無法測度。
	[kjv]	Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
	[bbe]	Have you no knowledge of it? has it not come to your ears? The eternal God, the Lord, the Maker of the ends of the earth, is never feeble or tired; there is no searching out of his wisdom.
40:29	[hb5]	疲乏的、他賜能力．軟弱的、他加力量．
	[kjv]	He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
	[bbe]	He gives power to the feeble, increasing the strength of him who has no force.
40:30	[hb5]	就是少年人也要疲乏困倦、強壯的也必全然跌倒．
	[kjv]	Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
	[bbe]	Even the young men will become feeble and tired, and the best of them will come to the end of his strength;
40:31	[hb5]	但那等候耶和華的、必從新得力、他們必如鷹展翅上騰、他們奔跑卻不困倦、行走卻不疲乏。
	[kjv]	But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
	[bbe]	But those who are waiting for the Lord will have new strength; they will get wings like eagles: running, they will not be tired, and walking, they will have no weariness.
