約翰福音 John

5:1	[hb5]	這事以後、到了猶太人的一個節期．耶穌就上耶路撒冷去。
	[kjv]	After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
	[bbe]	After these things there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
5:2	[hb5]	在耶路撒冷、靠近羊門有一個池子、希伯來話叫作畢士大、旁邊有五個廊子。
	[kjv]	Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
	[bbe]	Now in Jerusalem near the sheep-market there is a public bath which in Hebrew is named Beth-zatha. It has five doorways.
5:3	[hb5]	裡面躺著瞎眼的、瘸腿的、血氣枯乾的、許多病人。〔有古卷在此有等候水動〕
	[kjv]	In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
	[bbe]	In these doorways there were a great number of people with different diseases: some unable to see, some without the power of walking, some with wasted bodies.
5:4	[hb5]	〔因為有天使按時下池子攪動那水水動之後誰先下去無論害甚麼病就痊愈了〕
	[kjv]	For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

5:5	[hb5]	在那裡有一個人、病了三十八年。
	[kjv]	And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
	[bbe]	One man was there who had been ill for thirty-eight years.
5:6	[hb5]	耶穌看見他躺著、知道他病了許久、就問他說、你要痊愈麼。
	[kjv]	When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
	[bbe]	When Jesus saw him there on the floor it was clear to him that he had been now a long time in that condition, and so he said to the man, Is it your desire to get well?
5:7	[hb5]	病人回答說、先生、水動的時候、沒有人把我放在池子裡．我正去的時候、就有別人比我先下去。
	[kjv]	The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
	[bbe]	The ill man said in answer, Sir, I have nobody to put me into the bath when the water is moving; and while I am on the way down some other person gets in before me.
5:8	[hb5]	耶穌對他說、起來、拿你的褥子走罷。
	[kjv]	Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
	[bbe]	Jesus said to him, Get up, take your bed and go.
5:9	[hb5]	那人立刻痊愈、就拿起褥子來走了。
	[kjv]	And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
	[bbe]	And the man became well straight away, and took up his bed and went. Now that day was the Sabbath.
5:10	[hb5]	那天是安息日、所以猶太人對那醫好的人說、今天是安息日、你拿褥子是不可的。
	[kjv]	The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.
	[bbe]	So the Jews said to the man who had been made well, It is the Sabbath; and it is against the law for you to take up your bed.
5:11	[hb5]	他卻回答說、那使我痊愈的、對我說、拿你的褥子走罷。
	[kjv]	He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.
	[bbe]	He said to them, But he who made me well, said to me, Take up your bed and go.
5:12	[hb5]	他們問他說、對你說拿褥子走的、是甚麼人。
	[kjv]	Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk?
	[bbe]	Then they put to him the question: Who is the man who said to you, Take it up and go?
5:13	[hb5]	那醫好的人不知道是誰．因為那裡的人多、耶穌已經躲開了。
	[kjv]	And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place.
	[bbe]	Now he who had been made well had no knowledge who it was, Jesus having gone away because of the number of people who were in that place.
5:14	[hb5]	後來耶穌在殿裡遇見他、對他說、你已經痊愈了．不要再犯罪、恐怕你遭遇的更加利害。
	[kjv]	Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.
	[bbe]	After a time Jesus came across him in the Temple and said to him, See, you are well and strong; do no more sin for fear a worse thing comes to you.
5:15	[hb5]	那人就去告訴猶太人、使他痊愈的是耶穌。
	[kjv]	The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole.
	[bbe]	The man went away and said to the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well.
5:16	[hb5]	所以猶太人逼迫耶穌、因為他在安息日作了這事。
	[kjv]	And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.
	[bbe]	And for this reason the Jews were turned against Jesus, because he was doing these things on the Sabbath.
5:17	[hb5]	耶穌就對他們說、我父作事直到如今、我也作事。
	[kjv]	But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.
	[bbe]	But his answer was: My Father is still working even now, and so I am working.
5:18	[hb5]	所以猶太人越發想要殺他．因他不但犯了安息日、並且稱　神為他的父、將自己和　神當作平等。
	[kjv]	Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.
	[bbe]	For this cause the Jews had an even greater desire to put Jesus to death, because not only did he not keep the Sabbath but he said God was his Father, so making himself equal with God.
5:19	[hb5]	耶穌對他們說、我實實在在的告訴你們、子憑著自己不能作甚麼、惟有看見父所作的、子纔能作．父所作的事、子也照樣作。
	[kjv]	Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
	[bbe]	So Jesus made answer and said, Truly I say to you, The Son is not able to do anything himself; he is able to do only what he sees the Father doing; whatever the Father does the Son does it in the same way.
5:20	[hb5]	父愛子、將自己所作的一切事指給他看．還要將比這更大的事指給他看、叫你們希奇。
	[kjv]	For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.
	[bbe]	For the Father has love for the Son and lets him see everything which he does: and he will let him see greater works than these so that you may be full of wonder.
5:21	[hb5]	父怎樣叫死人起來、使他們活著、子也照樣隨自己的意思使人活著。
	[kjv]	For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.
	[bbe]	In the same way, as the Father gives life to the dead, even so the Son gives life to those to whom he is pleased to give it.
5:22	[hb5]	父不審判甚麼人、乃將審判的事全交與子。
	[kjv]	For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
	[bbe]	The Father is not the judge of men, but he has given all decisions into the hands of the Son;
5:23	[hb5]	叫人都尊敬子如同尊敬父一樣。不尊敬子的、就是不尊敬差子來的父。
	[kjv]	That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
	[bbe]	So that all men may give honour to the Son even as they give honour to the Father. He who gives no honour to the Son gives no honour to the Father who sent him.
5:24	[hb5]	我實實在在的告訴你們、那聽我話、又信差我來者的、就有永生、不至於定罪、是已經出死入生了。
	[kjv]	Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
	[bbe]	Truly I say to you, The man whose ears are open to my word and who has faith in him who sent me, has eternal life; he will not be judged, but has come from death into life.
5:25	[hb5]	我實實在在的告訴你們、時候將到、現在就是了、死人要聽見　神兒子的聲音．聽見的人就要活了。
	[kjv]	Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
	[bbe]	Truly I say to you, The time is coming, it has even now come, when the voice of the Son of God will come to the ears of the dead, and those hearing it will have life.
5:26	[hb5]	因為父怎樣在自己有生命、就賜給他兒子也照樣在自己有生命．
	[kjv]	For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
	[bbe]	For even as the Father has life in himself, so he has given to the Son to have life in himself.
5:27	[hb5]	並且因為他是人子、就賜給他行審判的權柄。
	[kjv]	And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.
	[bbe]	And he has given him authority to be judge because he is the Son of man.
5:28	[hb5]	你們不要把這事看作希奇．時候要到、凡在墳墓裡的、都要聽見他的聲音、就出來．
	[kjv]	Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
	[bbe]	Do not be surprised at this: for the time is coming when his voice will come to all who are in the place of the dead,
5:29	[hb5]	行善的復活得生、作惡的復活定罪。
	[kjv]	And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
	[bbe]	And they will come out; those who have done good, into the new life; and those who have done evil, to be judged.
5:30	[hb5]	我憑著自己不能作甚麼．我怎麼聽見、就怎麼審判．我的審判也是公平的．因為我不求自己的意思、只求那差我來者的意思。
	[kjv]	I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
	[bbe]	Of myself I am unable to do anything: as the voice comes to me so I give a decision: and my decision is right because I have no desire to do what is pleasing to myself, but only what is pleasing to him who sent me.
5:31	[hb5]	我若為自己作見證、我的見證就不真。
	[kjv]	If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.
	[bbe]	If I gave witness about myself, my witness would not be true.
5:32	[hb5]	另有一位給我作見證．我也知道他給我作的見證是真的。
	[kjv]	There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true.
	[bbe]	There is another who gives witness about me and I am certain that the witness he gives about me is true.
5:33	[hb5]	你們曾差人到約翰那裡、他為真理作過見證。
	[kjv]	Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth.
	[bbe]	You sent to John and he gave true witness.
5:34	[hb5]	其實我所受的見證、不是從人來的．然而我說這些話、為要叫你們得救。
	[kjv]	But I receive not testimony from man: but these things I say, that ye might be saved.
	[bbe]	But I have no need of a man's witness: I only say these things so that you may have salvation.
5:35	[hb5]	約翰是點著的明燈．你們情願暫時喜歡他的光。
	[kjv]	He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.
	[bbe]	He was a burning and shining light, and for a time you were ready to be happy in his light.
5:36	[hb5]	但我有比約翰更大的見證．因為父交給我要我成就的事、就是我所作的事、這便見證我是父所差來的。
	[kjv]	But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.
	[bbe]	But the witness which I have is greater than that of John: the work which the Father has given me to do, the very work which I am now doing, is a witness that the Father has sent me.
5:37	[hb5]	差我來的父也為我作過見證。你們從來沒有聽見他的聲音、也沒有看見他的形像。
	[kjv]	And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
	[bbe]	And the Father himself who sent me has given witness about me. Not one of you has ever given ear to his voice; his form you have not seen.
5:38	[hb5]	你們並沒有他的道存在心裡．因為他所差來的、你們不信。
	[kjv]	And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.
	[bbe]	And you have not kept his word in your hearts, because you have not faith in him whom he has sent.
5:39	[hb5]	你們查考聖經．〔或作應當查考聖經〕因你們以為內中有永生．給我作見證的就是這經。
	[kjv]	Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
	[bbe]	You make search in the holy Writings, in the belief that through them you get eternal life; and it is those Writings which give witness about me.
5:40	[hb5]	然而你們不肯到我這裡來得生命。
	[kjv]	And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
	[bbe]	And still you have no desire to come to me so that you may have life.
5:41	[hb5]	我不受從人來的榮耀。
	[kjv]	I receive not honour from men.
	[bbe]	I do not take honour from men;
5:42	[hb5]	但我知道你們心裡、沒有　神的愛。
	[kjv]	But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.
	[bbe]	But I have knowledge of you that you have no love for God in your hearts.
5:43	[hb5]	我奉我父的名來、你們並不接待我．若有別人奉自己的名來、你們倒要接待他。
	[kjv]	I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
	[bbe]	I have come in my Father's name, and your hearts are not open to me. If another comes with no other authority but himself, you will give him your approval.
5:44	[hb5]	你們互相受榮耀、卻不求從獨一之　神來的榮耀、怎能信我呢。
	[kjv]	How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?
	[bbe]	How is it possible for you to have faith while you take honour one from another and have no desire for the honour which comes from the only God?
5:45	[hb5]	不要想我在父面前要告你們．有一位告你們的、就是你們所仰賴的摩西。
	[kjv]	Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.
	[bbe]	Put out of your minds the thought that I will say things against you to the Father: the one who says things against you is Moses, on whom you put your hopes.
5:46	[hb5]	你們如果信摩西、也必信我．因為他書上有指著我寫的話。
	[kjv]	For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.
	[bbe]	If you had belief in Moses you would have belief in me; for his writings are about me.
5:47	[hb5]	你們若不信他的書、怎能信我的話呢。
	[kjv]	But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?
	[bbe]	If you have no belief in his writings, how will you have belief in my words?
