15:1	[hb5]	此後、押沙龍為自己預備車馬、又派五十人在他前頭奔走。
	[kjv]	And it came to pass after this, that Absalom prepared him chariots and horses, and fifty men to run before him.
	[bbe]	Now after this, Absalom got for himself a carriage and horses, and fifty runners to go before him.
15:2	[hb5]	押沙龍常常早晨起來站在城門的道旁、凡有爭訟要去求王判斷的、押沙龍就叫他過來、問他說、你是那一城的人．回答說、僕人是以色列某支派的人。
	[kjv]	And Absalom rose up early, and stood beside the way of the gate: and it was so, that when any man that had a controversy came to the king for judgment, then Absalom called unto him, and said, Of what city art thou? And he said, Thy servant is of one of the tribes of Israel.
	[bbe]	And Absalom got up early, morning after morning, and took his place at the side of the public meeting-place: and when any man had a cause which had to come to the king to be judged, then Absalom, crying out to him, said, What is your town? and he would say, Your servant is of one of the tribes of Israel.
15:3	[hb5]	押沙龍對他說、你的事有情有理．無奈王沒有委人聽你伸訴。
	[kjv]	And Absalom said unto him, See, thy matters are good and right; but there is no man deputed of the king to hear thee.
	[bbe]	And Absalom would say to him, See, your cause is true and right; but no man has been named by the king to give you a hearing.
15:4	[hb5]	押沙龍又說、恨不得我作國中的士師．凡有爭訟求審判的、到我這裡來、我必秉公判斷。
	[kjv]	Absalom said moreover, Oh that I were made judge in the land, that every man which hath any suit or cause might come unto me, and I would do him justice!
	[bbe]	And more than this, Absalom said, If only I was made judge in the land, so that every man who has any cause or question might come to me, and I would give a right decision for him!
15:5	[hb5]	若有人近前來要拜押沙龍、押沙龍就伸手拉住他、與他親嘴。
	[kjv]	And it was so, that when any man came nigh to him to do him obeisance, he put forth his hand, and took him, and kissed him.
	[bbe]	And if any man came near to give him honour, he took him by the hand and gave him a kiss.
15:6	[hb5]	以色列人中、凡去見王求判斷的、押沙龍都是如此待他們。這樣、押沙龍暗中得了以色列人的心。
	[kjv]	And on this manner did Absalom to all Israel that came to the king for judgment: so Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel.
	[bbe]	And this Absalom did to everyone in Israel who came to the king to have his cause judged: so Absalom, like a thief, took away the hearts of the men of Israel.
15:7	[hb5]	滿了四十年、〔有作四年的〕、押沙龍對王說、求你准我往希伯崙去、還我向耶和華所許的願．
	[kjv]	And it came to pass after forty years, that Absalom said unto the king, I pray thee, let me go and pay my vow, which I have vowed unto the LORD, in Hebron.
	[bbe]	Now at the end of four years, Absalom said to the king, Let me go to Hebron and give effect to the oath which I made to the Lord:
15:8	[hb5]	因為僕人住在亞蘭的基述、曾許願說、耶和華若使我再回耶路撒冷、我必事奉他。
	[kjv]	For thy servant vowed a vow while I abode at Geshur in Syria, saying, If the LORD shall bring me again indeed to Jerusalem, then I will serve the LORD.
	[bbe]	For while I was living in Geshur in Aram, your servant made an oath, saying, If ever the Lord lets me come back to Jerusalem, I will give him worship in Hebron.
15:9	[hb5]	王說、你平平安安的去罷。押沙龍就起身、往希伯崙去了。
	[kjv]	And the king said unto him, Go in peace. So he arose, and went to Hebron.
	[bbe]	And the king said to him, Go in peace. So he got up and went to Hebron.
15:10	[hb5]	押沙龍打發探子走遍以色列各支派、說、你們一聽見角聲、就說、押沙龍在希伯崙作王了。
	[kjv]	But Absalom sent spies throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, As soon as ye hear the sound of the trumpet, then ye shall say, Absalom reigneth in Hebron.
	[bbe]	But Absalom at the same time sent watchers through all the tribes of Israel to say, At the sound of the horn you are to say, Absalom is king in Hebron.
15:11	[hb5]	押沙龍在耶路撒冷請了二百人與他同去、都是誠誠實實去的、並不知道其中的真情。
	[kjv]	And with Absalom went two hundred men out of Jerusalem, that were called; and they went in their simplicity, and they knew not any thing.
	[bbe]	And with Absalom, at his request, went two hundred men from Jerusalem, who were completely unconscious of his designs.
15:12	[hb5]	押沙龍獻祭的時候、打發人去將大衛的謀士、基羅人亞希多弗、從他本城請了來。於是叛逆的勢派甚大．因為隨從押沙龍的人民、日漸增多。
	[kjv]	And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David's counsellor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he offered sacrifices. And the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased continually with Absalom.
	[bbe]	And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, one of David's helpers, from Giloh his town, while he was making the offerings. And the design against David became strong, for more and more people were joined to Absalom.
15:13	[hb5]	有人報告大衛說、以色列人的心、都歸向押沙龍了。
	[kjv]	And there came a messenger to David, saying, The hearts of the men of Israel are after Absalom.
	[bbe]	And one came to David and said, The hearts of the men of Israel have gone after Absalom.
15:14	[hb5]	大衛就對耶路撒冷跟隨他的臣僕說、我們要起來逃走．不然都不能躲避押沙龍了．要速速的去、恐怕他忽然來到、加害於我們、用刀殺盡合城的人。
	[kjv]	And David said unto all his servants that were with him at Jerusalem, Arise, and let us flee; for we shall not else escape from Absalom: make speed to depart, lest he overtake us suddenly, and bring evil upon us, and smite the city with the edge of the sword.
	[bbe]	And David said to all his servants who were with him at Jerusalem, Come, let us go in flight, or not one of us will be safe from Absalom: let us go without loss of time, or he will overtake us quickly and send evil on us, and put the town to the sword.
15:15	[hb5]	王的臣僕對王說、我主我王所定的、僕人都願遵行。
	[kjv]	And the king's servants said unto the king, Behold, thy servants are ready to do whatsoever my lord the king shall appoint.
	[bbe]	And the king's servants said to the king, See, your servants are ready to do whatever the king says is to be done.
15:16	[hb5]	於是王帶著全家的人出去了、但留下十個妃嬪、看守宮殿。
	[kjv]	And the king went forth, and all his household after him. And the king left ten women, which were concubines, to keep the house.
	[bbe]	So the king went out, taking with him all the people of his house, but for ten of his women, who were to take care of the house.
15:17	[hb5]	王出去、眾民都跟隨他、到伯墨哈、就住下了。
	[kjv]	And the king went forth, and all the people after him, and tarried in a place that was far off.
	[bbe]	And the king went out, and all his servants went after him, and made a stop at the Far House.
15:18	[hb5]	王的臣僕都在他面前過去．基利提人、比利提人、就是從迦特跟隨王來的六百人、也都在他面前過去。
	[kjv]	And all his servants passed on beside him; and all the Cherethites, and all the Pelethites, and all the Gittites, six hundred men which came after him from Gath, passed on before the king.
	[bbe]	And all the people went on by his side; and all the Cherethites and all the Pelethites and all the men of Ittai of Gath, six hundred men who came after him from Gath, went on before the king.
15:19	[hb5]	王對迦特人以太說、你是外邦逃來的人．為甚麼與我們同去呢。你可以回去、與新王同住、或者回你本地去罷。
	[kjv]	Then said the king to Ittai the Gittite, Wherefore goest thou also with us? return to thy place, and abide with the king: for thou art a stranger, and also an exile.
	[bbe]	Then the king said to Ittai the Gittite, Why are you coming with us? go back and keep with the king: for you are a man of another country, you are far from the land of your birth.
15:20	[hb5]	你來的日子不多、我今日怎好叫你與我們一同飄流、沒有一定的住處呢．你不如帶你的弟兄回去罷．願耶和華用慈愛誠實待你。
	[kjv]	Whereas thou camest but yesterday, should I this day make thee go up and down with us? seeing I go whither I may, return thou, and take back thy brethren: mercy and truth be with thee.
	[bbe]	It was only yesterday you came to us; why then am I to make you go up and down with us? for I have to go where I may; go back then, and take your countrymen with you, and may the Lord's mercy and good faith be with you.
15:21	[hb5]	以太對王說、我指著永生的耶和華起誓、又敢在王面前起誓、無論生死、王在那裡、僕人也必在那裡。
	[kjv]	And Ittai answered the king, and said, As the LORD liveth, and as my lord the king liveth, surely in what place my lord the king shall be, whether in death or life, even there also will thy servant be.
	[bbe]	And Ittai the Gittite in answer said, By the living Lord, and by the life of my lord the king, in whatever place my lord the king may be, for life or death, there will your servant be.
15:22	[hb5]	大衛對以太說、你前去過河罷。於是迦特人以太帶著跟隨他的人和所有的婦人孩子、就都過去了。
	[kjv]	And David said to Ittai, Go and pass over. And Ittai the Gittite passed over, and all his men, and all the little ones that were with him.
	[bbe]	And David said to Ittai, Go forward, then. And Ittai the Gittite went on, with all his men and all the little ones he had with him.
15:23	[hb5]	本地的人都放聲大哭、眾民盡都過去．王也過了汲淪溪、眾民往曠野去了。
	[kjv]	And all the country wept with a loud voice, and all the people passed over: the king also himself passed over the brook Kidron, and all the people passed over, toward the way of the wilderness.
	[bbe]	And there was great weeping in all the country when all the people went through; and the king himself was waiting in the Kidron valley and all the people went by him in the direction of the olive-tree on the edge of the waste land.
15:24	[hb5]	撒督、和抬　神約櫃的利未人、也一同來了、將　神的約櫃放下．亞比亞他上來、等著眾民從城裡出來過去。
	[kjv]	And lo Zadok also, and all the Levites were with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God: and they set down the ark of God; and Abiathar went up, until all the people had done passing out of the city.
	[bbe]	Then Zadok came, and Abiathar, and with them the ark of God's agreement: and they put down the ark of God, till all the people from the town had gone by.
15:25	[hb5]	王對撒督說、你將　神的約櫃抬回城去．我若在耶和華眼前蒙恩、他必使我回來、再見約櫃、和他的居所。
	[kjv]	And the king said unto Zadok, Carry back the ark of God into the city: if I shall find favour in the eyes of the LORD, he will bring me again, and shew me both it, and his habitation:
	[bbe]	And the king said to Zadok, Take the ark of God back into the town: if I have grace in the eyes of the Lord, he will let me come back and see it and his House again:
15:26	[hb5]	倘若他說、我不喜悅你．看哪、我在這裡、願他憑自己的意旨待我。
	[kjv]	But if he thus say, I have no delight in thee; behold, here am I, let him do to me as seemeth good unto him.
	[bbe]	But if he says, I have no delight in you: then, here I am; let him do to me what seems good to him.
15:27	[hb5]	王又對祭司撒督說、你不是先見麼．你可以安然回城．你兒子亞希瑪斯、和亞比亞他的兒子約拿單、都可以與你同去。
	[kjv]	The king said also unto Zadok the priest, Art not thou a seer? return into the city in peace, and your two sons with you, Ahimaaz thy son, and Jonathan the son of Abiathar.
	[bbe]	The king said further to Zadok the priest, See, you and Abiathar are to go back to the town in peace, with your two sons, Ahimaaz, your son, and Jonathan, the son of Abiathar.
15:28	[hb5]	我在曠野的渡口那裡等你們報信給我。
	[kjv]	See, I will tarry in the plain of the wilderness, until there come word from you to certify me.
	[bbe]	See, I will be waiting at the way across the river, in the waste land, till I get news from you.
15:29	[hb5]	於是撒督和亞比亞他將　神的約櫃抬回耶路撒冷．他們就住在那裡。
	[kjv]	Zadok therefore and Abiathar carried the ark of God again to Jerusalem: and they tarried there.
	[bbe]	So Zadok and Abiathar took the ark of God back to Jerusalem, and did not go away from there.
15:30	[hb5]	大衛蒙頭赤腳、上橄欖山、一面上、一面哭．跟隨他的人、也都蒙頭哭著上去。
	[kjv]	And David went up by the ascent of mount Olivet, and wept as he went up, and had his head covered, and he went barefoot: and all the people that was with him covered every man his head, and they went up, weeping as they went up.
	[bbe]	And David went up the slopes of the Mount of Olives weeping all the way, with his head covered and no shoes on his feet: and all the people who were with him, covering their heads, went up weeping.
15:31	[hb5]	有人告訴大衛說、亞希多弗也在叛黨之中、隨從押沙龍。大衛禱告說、耶和華阿、求你使亞希多弗的計謀、變為愚拙。
	[kjv]	And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O LORD, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.
	[bbe]	And word came to David, saying, Ahithophel is among those who are joined to Absalom. And David said, O Lord, let the wisdom of Ahithophel be made foolish.
15:32	[hb5]	大衛到了山頂、敬拜　神的地方、見亞基人戶篩、衣服撕裂、頭蒙灰塵、來迎接他。
	[kjv]	And it came to pass, that when David was come to the top of the mount, where he worshipped God, behold, Hushai the Archite came to meet him with his coat rent, and earth upon his head:
	[bbe]	Now when David had come to the top of the slope, where they gave worship to God, Hushai the Archite came to him in great grief with dust on his head:
15:33	[hb5]	大衛對他說、你若與我同去、必累贅我。
	[kjv]	Unto whom David said, If thou passest on with me, then thou shalt be a burden unto me:
	[bbe]	David said to him, If you go on with me, you will be a trouble to me:
15:34	[hb5]	你若回城去、對押沙龍說、王阿、我願作你的僕人．我向來作你父親的僕人、現在我也照樣作你的僕人．這樣、你就可以為我破壞亞希多弗的計謀。
	[kjv]	But if thou return to the city, and say unto Absalom, I will be thy servant, O king; as I have been thy father's servant hitherto, so will I now also be thy servant: then mayest thou for me defeat the counsel of Ahithophel.
	[bbe]	But if you go back to the town and say to Absalom, I will be your servant, O king; as in the past I have been your father's servant, so now I will be yours: then you will be able to keep Ahithophel's designs against me from being put into effect.
15:35	[hb5]	祭司撒督和亞比亞他、豈不都在那裡麼．你在王宮裡聽見甚麼、就要告訴祭司撒督和亞比亞他。
	[kjv]	And hast thou not there with thee Zadok and Abiathar the priests? therefore it shall be, that what thing soever thou shalt hear out of the king's house, thou shalt tell it to Zadok and Abiathar the priests.
	[bbe]	And have you not there Zadok and Abiathar the priests? so whatever comes to your ears from the king's house, give word of it to Zadok and Abiathar the priests.
15:36	[hb5]	撒督的兒子亞希瑪斯、亞比亞他的兒子約拿單、也都在那裡．凡你們所聽見的、可以託這二人來報告我。
	[kjv]	Behold, they have there with them their two sons, Ahimaaz Zadok's son, and Jonathan Abiathar's son; and by them ye shall send unto me every thing that ye can hear.
	[bbe]	See, they have with them their two sons, Ahimaaz, Zadok's son, and Jonathan, the son of Abiathar; by them you may send word to me of everything which comes to your ears.
15:37	[hb5]	於是大衛的朋友戶篩進了城．押沙龍也進了耶路撒冷。
	[kjv]	So Hushai David's friend came into the city, and Absalom came into Jerusalem.
	[bbe]	So Hushai, David's friend, went into the town, and Absalom came to Jerusalem.
