36:1	[hb5]	猶大王、約西亞的兒子約雅敬第四年、耶和華的話臨到耶利米說、
	[kjv]	And it came to pass in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that this word came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
	[bbe]	Now it came about in the fourth year of Jehoiakim, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, that this word came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,
36:2	[hb5]	你取一書卷、將我對你說攻擊以色列、和猶大、並各國的一切話、從我對你說話的那日、就是從約西亞的日子起、直到今日、都寫在其上．
	[kjv]	Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day.
	[bbe]	Take a book and put down in it all the words I have said to you against Israel and against Judah and against all the nations, from the day when my word came to you in the days of Josiah till this day.
36:3	[hb5]	或者猶大家聽見我想要降與他們的一切災禍、各人就回頭離開惡道、我好赦免他們的罪孽和罪惡。
	[kjv]	It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.
	[bbe]	It may be that the people of Judah, hearing of all the evil which it is my purpose to do to them, will be turned, every man from his evil ways; so that they may have my forgiveness for their evil-doing and their sin.
36:4	[hb5]	所以耶利米召了尼利亞的兒子巴錄來、巴錄就從耶利米口中、將耶和華對耶利米所說的一切話寫在書卷上。
	[kjv]	Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the LORD, which he had spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book.
	[bbe]	Then Jeremiah sent for Baruch, the son of Neriah; and Baruch took down from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the Lord which he had said to him, writing them in a book.
36:5	[hb5]	耶利米吩咐巴錄說、我被拘管、不能進耶和華的殿．
	[kjv]	And Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, I am shut up; I cannot go into the house of the LORD:
	[bbe]	And Jeremiah gave orders to Baruch, saying, I am shut up, and am not able to go into the house of the Lord:
36:6	[hb5]	所以你要去、趁禁食的日子、在耶和華殿中、將耶和華的話、就是你從我口中所寫在書卷上的話、念給百姓和一切從猶大城邑出來的人聽．
	[kjv]	Therefore go thou, and read in the roll, which thou hast written from my mouth, the words of the LORD in the ears of the people in the LORD's house upon the fasting day: and also thou shalt read them in the ears of all Judah that come out of their cities.
	[bbe]	So you are to go, reading there from the book, which you have taken down from my mouth, the words of the Lord, in the hearing of the people in the Lord's house, on a day when they go without food, and in the hearing of all the men of Judah who have come out from their towns.
36:7	[hb5]	或者他們在耶和華面前懇求、各人回頭離開惡道．因為耶和華向這百姓所說要發的怒氣和忿怒是大的。
	[kjv]	It may be they will present their supplication before the LORD, and will return every one from his evil way: for great is the anger and the fury that the LORD hath pronounced against this people.
	[bbe]	It may be that their prayer for grace will go up to the Lord, and that every man will be turned from his evil ways: for great is the wrath and the passion made clear by the Lord against this people.
36:8	[hb5]	尼利亞的兒子巴錄就照先知耶利米一切所吩咐的去行、在耶和華的殿中、從書上念耶和華的話。
	[kjv]	And Baruch the son of Neriah did according to all that Jeremiah the prophet commanded him, reading in the book the words of the LORD in the LORD's house.
	[bbe]	And Baruch, the son of Neriah, did as Jeremiah the prophet gave him orders to do, reading from the book the words of the Lord in the Lord's house.
36:9	[hb5]	猶大王、約西亞的兒子約雅敬第五年九月、耶路撒冷的眾民、和那從猶大城邑來到耶路撒冷的眾民、在耶和華面前宣告禁食的日子。
	[kjv]	And it came to pass in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, in the ninth month, that they proclaimed a fast before the LORD to all the people in Jerusalem, and to all the people that came from the cities of Judah unto Jerusalem.
	[bbe]	Now it came about in the fifth year of Jehoiakim, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, in the ninth month, that it was given out publicly that all the people in Jerusalem, and all the people who came from the towns of Judah to Jerusalem, were to keep from food before the Lord.
36:10	[hb5]	巴錄就在耶和華殿的上院、耶和華殿的新門口、沙番的兒子文士基瑪利雅的屋內、念書上耶利米的話給眾民聽。
	[kjv]	Then read Baruch in the book the words of Jeremiah in the house of the LORD, in the chamber of Gemariah the son of Shaphan the scribe, in the higher court, at the entry of the new gate of the LORD's house, in the ears of all the people.
	[bbe]	Then Baruch gave a public reading of the words of Jeremiah from the book, in the house of the Lord, in the room of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan the scribe, in the higher square, as one goes in by the new doorway of the Lord's house, in the hearing of all the people.
36:11	[hb5]	沙番的孫子基瑪利雅的兒子米該亞、聽見書上耶和華的一切話、
	[kjv]	When Michaiah the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, had heard out of the book all the words of the LORD,
	[bbe]	And Micaiah, the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, after hearing all the words of the Lord from the book,
36:12	[hb5]	他就下到王宮、進入文士的屋子．眾首領、就是文士以利沙瑪、示瑪雅的兒子第萊雅、亞革波的兒子以利拿單、沙番的兒子基瑪利雅、哈拿尼雅的兒子西底家、和其餘的首領、都坐在那裡。
	[kjv]	Then he went down into the king's house, into the scribe's chamber: and, lo, all the princes sat there, even Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the princes.
	[bbe]	Went down to the king's house, to the scribe's room: and all the rulers were seated there, Elishama the scribe and Delaiah, the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan, the son of Achbor, and Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah, the son of Hananiah, and all the rulers.
36:13	[hb5]	於是米該亞對他們述說他所聽見的一切話、就是巴錄向百姓念那書的時候所聽見的。
	[kjv]	Then Michaiah declared unto them all the words that he had heard, when Baruch read the book in the ears of the people.
	[bbe]	Then Micaiah gave them an account of all the words which had come to his ears when Baruch was reading the book to the people.
36:14	[hb5]	眾首領就打發古示的曾孫示利米雅的孫子尼探雅的兒子猶底到巴錄那裡、對他說、你將所念給百姓聽的書卷拿在手中、到我們這裡來．尼利亞的兒子巴錄就手拿書卷、來到他們那裡。
	[kjv]	Therefore all the princes sent Jehudi the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, unto Baruch, saying, Take in thine hand the roll wherein thou hast read in the ears of the people, and come. So Baruch the son of Neriah took the roll in his hand, and came unto them.
	[bbe]	So all the rulers sent Jehudi, the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, to Baruch, saying, Take in your hand the book from which you have been reading to the people and come. So Baruch, the son of Neriah, took the book in his hand and came down to them.
36:15	[hb5]	他們對他說、請你坐下、念給我們聽．巴錄就念給他們聽。
	[kjv]	And they said unto him, Sit down now, and read it in our ears. So Baruch read it in their ears.
	[bbe]	Then they said to him, Be seated now, and give us a reading from it. So Baruch did so, reading it to them.
36:16	[hb5]	他們聽見這一切話就害怕、面面相觀、對巴錄說、我們必須將這一切話告訴王。
	[kjv]	Now it came to pass, when they had heard all the words, they were afraid both one and other, and said unto Baruch, We will surely tell the king of all these words.
	[bbe]	Now it came about that, after hearing all the words, they said to one another in fear, We will certainly give the king an account of all these words.
36:17	[hb5]	他們問巴錄說、請你告訴我們、你怎樣從他口中寫這一切話呢。
	[kjv]	And they asked Baruch, saying, Tell us now, How didst thou write all these words at his mouth?
	[bbe]	And questioning Baruch, they said, Say now, how did you put all these words down in writing from his mouth?
36:18	[hb5]	巴錄回答說、他用口向我說這一切話、我就用筆墨寫在書上。
	[kjv]	Then Baruch answered them, He pronounced all these words unto me with his mouth, and I wrote them with ink in the book.
	[bbe]	Then Baruch, answering, said, He said all these things to me by word of mouth, and I put them down with ink in the book.
36:19	[hb5]	眾首領對巴錄說、你和耶利米要去藏起來．不可叫人知道你們在那裡。
	[kjv]	Then said the princes unto Baruch, Go, hide thee, thou and Jeremiah; and let no man know where ye be.
	[bbe]	Then the rulers said to Baruch, Go and put yourself in a safe place, you and Jeremiah, and let no man have knowledge of where you are.
36:20	[hb5]	眾首領進院見王、卻先把書卷存在文士以利沙瑪的屋內．以後將這一切話說給王聽。
	[kjv]	And they went in to the king into the court, but they laid up the roll in the chamber of Elishama the scribe, and told all the words in the ears of the king.
	[bbe]	Then they went into the open square to the king; but the book they put away in the room of Elishama the scribe; and they gave the king an account of all the words.
36:21	[hb5]	王就打發猶底去拿這書卷來．他便從文士以利沙瑪的屋內取來、念給王、和王左右侍立的眾首領聽。
	[kjv]	So the king sent Jehudi to fetch the roll: and he took it out of Elishama the scribe's chamber. And Jehudi read it in the ears of the king, and in the ears of all the princes which stood beside the king.
	[bbe]	So the king sent Jehudi to get the book, and he took it from the room of Elishama the scribe. And Jehudi gave a reading of it in the hearing of the king and all the rulers who were by the king's side.
36:22	[hb5]	那時正是九月、王坐在過冬的房屋裡、王的前面火盆中有燒冲的火。
	[kjv]	Now the king sat in the winterhouse in the ninth month: and there was a fire on the hearth burning before him.
	[bbe]	Now the king was seated in the winter house, and a fire was burning in the fireplace in front of him.
36:23	[hb5]	猶底念了三四篇、〔或作行〕王就用文士的刀將書卷割破、扔在火盆中、直到全卷在火中燒盡了。
	[kjv]	And it came to pass, that when Jehudi had read three or four leaves, he cut it with the penknife, and cast it into the fire that was on the hearth, until all the roll was consumed in the fire that was on the hearth.
	[bbe]	And it came about that whenever Jehudi, in his reading, had got through three or four divisions, the king, cutting them with his penknife, put them into the fire, till all the book was burned up in the fire which was burning in the fireplace.
36:24	[hb5]	王和聽見這一切話的臣僕、都不懼怕、也不撕裂衣服。
	[kjv]	Yet they were not afraid, nor rent their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants that heard all these words.
	[bbe]	But they had no fear and gave no signs of grief, not the king or any of his servants, after hearing all these words.
36:25	[hb5]	以利拿單和第萊雅並基瑪利雅懇求王不要燒這書卷．他卻不聽。
	[kjv]	Nevertheless Elnathan and Delaiah and Gemariah had made intercession to the king that he would not burn the roll: but he would not hear them.
	[bbe]	And Elnathan and Delaiah and Gemariah had made a strong request to the king not to let the book be burned, but he would not give ear to them.
36:26	[hb5]	王就吩咐哈米勒的兒子〔或作王的兒子〕耶拉篾、和亞斯列的兒子西萊雅、並亞伯疊的兒子示利米雅、去捉拿文士巴錄、和先知耶利米．耶和華卻將他們隱藏。
	[kjv]	But the king commanded Jerahmeel the son of Hammelech, and Seraiah the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel, to take Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet: but the LORD hid them.
	[bbe]	And the king gave orders to Jerahmeel, the king's son, and Seraiah, the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah, the son of Abdeel, to take Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet: but the Lord kept them safe.
36:27	[hb5]	王燒了書卷．其上有巴錄從耶利米口中所寫的話、以後耶和華的話臨到耶利米說、
	[kjv]	Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, after that the king had burned the roll, and the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Jeremiah, saying,
	[bbe]	Then after the book, in which Baruch had put down the words of Jeremiah, had been burned by the king, the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying,
36:28	[hb5]	你再取一卷、將猶大王約雅敬所燒第一卷上的一切話寫在其上。
	[kjv]	Take thee again another roll, and write in it all the former words that were in the first roll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah hath burned.
	[bbe]	Take another book and put down in it all the words which were in the first book, which Jehoiakim, king of Judah, put into the fire.
36:29	[hb5]	論到猶大王約雅敬你要說、耶和華如此說、你燒了書卷、說、你為甚麼在其上寫著說、巴比倫王必要來毀滅這地、使這地上絕了人民牲畜呢。
	[kjv]	And thou shalt say to Jehoiakim king of Judah, Thus saith the LORD; Thou hast burned this roll, saying, Why hast thou written therein, saying, The king of Babylon shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause to cease from thence man and beast?
	[bbe]	And about Jehoiakim, king of Judah, you are to say, This is what the Lord has said: You have put this book into the fire, saying, Why have you put in it that the king of Babylon will certainly come, causing the destruction of this land and putting an end to every man and beast in it?
36:30	[hb5]	所以耶和華論到猶大王約雅敬說．他後裔中必沒有人坐在大衛的寶座上．他的屍首必被拋棄、白日受炎熱、黑夜受寒霜。
	[kjv]	Therefore thus saith the LORD of Jehoiakim king of Judah; He shall have none to sit upon the throne of David: and his dead body shall be cast out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost.
	[bbe]	For this reason the Lord has said of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, He will have no son to take his place on the seat of David: his dead body will be put out to undergo the heat of the day and the cold of the night.
36:31	[hb5]	我必因他、和他後裔．並他臣僕的罪孽、刑罰他們．我要使我所說的一切災禍臨到他們、和耶路撒冷的居民、並猶大人．只是他們不聽。
	[kjv]	And I will punish him and his seed and his servants for their iniquity; and I will bring upon them, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and upon the men of Judah, all the evil that I have pronounced against them; but they hearkened not.
	[bbe]	And I will send punishment on him and on his seed and on his servants for their evil-doing; I will send on them and on the people of Jerusalem and the men of Judah, all the evil which I said against them, but they did not give ear.
36:32	[hb5]	於是耶利米又取一書卷、交給尼利亞的兒子文士巴錄、他就從耶利米的口中寫了猶大王約雅敬所燒前卷上的一切話．另外又添了許多相彷的話。
	[kjv]	Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words.
	[bbe]	Then Jeremiah took another book, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah, who put down in it, from the mouth of Jeremiah, all the words of the book which had been burned in the fire by Jehoiakim, king of Judah: and in addition a number of other words of the same sort.
