17:1	[hb5]	亞撒的兒子約沙法接續他作王、奮勇自強、防備以色列人．
	[kjv]	And Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead, and strengthened himself against Israel.
	[bbe]	And Jehoshaphat his son became king in his place, and made himself strong against Israel.
17:2	[hb5]	安置軍兵在猶大一切堅固城裡、又安置防兵在猶大地、和他父亞撒所得以法蓮的城邑中。
	[kjv]	And he placed forces in all the fenced cities of Judah, and set garrisons in the land of Judah, and in the cities of Ephraim, which Asa his father had taken.
	[bbe]	He put forces in all the walled towns of Judah, and responsible chiefs in the land of Judah and in the towns of Ephraim, which Asa his father had taken.
17:3	[hb5]	耶和華與約沙法同在、因為他行他祖大衛初行的道、不尋求巴力、
	[kjv]	And the LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim;
	[bbe]	And the Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he went in the early ways of his father, not turning to the Baals,
17:4	[hb5]	只尋求他父親的　神遵行他的誡命、不效法以色列人的行為。
	[kjv]	But sought to the Lord God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel.
	[bbe]	But turning to the God of his father and keeping his laws, and not doing as Israel did.
17:5	[hb5]	所以耶和華堅定他的國、猶大眾人給他進貢．約沙法大有尊榮資財。
	[kjv]	Therefore the LORD stablished the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honour in abundance.
	[bbe]	So the Lord made his kingdom strong; and all Judah gave offerings to Jehoshaphat, and he had great wealth and honour.
17:6	[hb5]	他高興遵行耶和華的道．並且從猶大除掉一切丘壇、和木偶。
	[kjv]	And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the LORD: moreover he took away the high places and groves out of Judah.
	[bbe]	His heart was lifted up in the ways of the Lord; and he went so far as to take away the high places and the wood pillars out of Judah.
17:7	[hb5]	他作王第三年就差遣臣子便亥伊勒、俄巴底、撒迦利雅、拿坦業、米該亞、往猶大各城去教訓百姓。
	[kjv]	Also in the third year of his reign he sent to his princes, even to Benhail, and to Obadiah, and to Zechariah, and to Nethaneel, and to Michaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah.
	[bbe]	In the third year of his rule he sent Benhail and Obadiah and Zechariah and Nethanel and Micaiah, his captains, as teachers into the towns of Judah;
17:8	[hb5]	同著他們有利未人、示瑪雅、尼探雅、西巴第雅、亞撒黑、示米拉末、約拿單、亞多尼雅、多比雅、駝巴多尼雅．又有祭司以利沙瑪、約蘭、同著他們。
	[kjv]	And with them he sent Levites, even Shemaiah, and Nethaniah, and Zebadiah, and Asahel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehonathan, and Adonijah, and Tobijah, and Tobadonijah, Levites; and with them Elishama and Jehoram, priests.
	[bbe]	And with them, Shemaiah and Nethaniah and Zebadiah and Asahel and Shemiramoth and Jehonathan and Adonijah and Tobijah and Tob-adonijah, the Levites; and Elishama and Jehoram the priests.
17:9	[hb5]	他們帶著耶和華的律法書、走遍猶大各城教訓百姓。
	[kjv]	And they taught in Judah, and had the book of the law of the LORD with them, and went about throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught the people.
	[bbe]	And they gave teaching in Judah and had the book of the law of the Lord with them; they went through all the towns of Judah teaching the people.
17:10	[hb5]	耶和華使猶大四圍的列國、都甚恐懼、不敢與約沙法爭戰。
	[kjv]	And the fear of the LORD fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that were round about Judah, so that they made no war against Jehoshaphat.
	[bbe]	And the fear of the Lord was on all the kingdoms of the lands round Judah, so that they made no wars against Jehoshaphat.
17:11	[hb5]	有些非利士人與約沙法送禮物、納貢銀．亞拉伯人也送他公綿羊七千七百隻、公山羊七千七百隻。
	[kjv]	Also some of the Philistines brought Jehoshaphat presents, and tribute silver; and the Arabians brought him flocks, seven thousand and seven hundred rams, and seven thousand and seven hundred he goats.
	[bbe]	And some of the Philistines took offerings to Jehoshaphat, and made him payments of silver; and the Arabians gave him flocks, seven thousand, seven hundred sheep, and seven thousand, seven hundred he-goats.
17:12	[hb5]	約沙法日漸強大．在猶大建造營寨、和積貨城。
	[kjv]	And Jehoshaphat waxed great exceedingly; and he built in Judah castles, and cities of store.
	[bbe]	Jehoshaphat became greater and greater, and made strong towers and store-towns in Judah.
17:13	[hb5]	他在猶大城邑中有許多工程．又在耶路撒冷有戰士、就是大能的勇士。
	[kjv]	And he had much business in the cities of Judah: and the men of war, mighty men of valour, were in Jerusalem.
	[bbe]	He had much property in the towns of Judah; he had forces of armed men, great and strong, in Jerusalem.
17:14	[hb5]	他們的數目、按著宗族記在下面．猶大族的千夫長押拿為首、率領大能的勇士三十萬．
	[kjv]	And these are the numbers of them according to the house of their fathers: Of Judah, the captains of thousands; Adnah the chief, and with him mighty men of valour three hundred thousand.
	[bbe]	This is the number of them, listed by their families, the captains of thousands of Judah: Adnah, the captain, and with him three hundred thousand men of war;
17:15	[hb5]	其次是千夫長約哈難、率領大能的勇士二十八萬．
	[kjv]	And next to him was Jehohanan the captain, and with him two hundred and fourscore thousand.
	[bbe]	Second to him Jehohanan, the captain, and with him two hundred and eighty thousand;
17:16	[hb5]	其次是細基利的兒子亞瑪斯雅．他為耶和華犧牲自己、率領大能的勇士二十萬．
	[kjv]	And next him was Amasiah the son of Zichri, who willingly offered himself unto the LORD; and with him two hundred thousand mighty men of valour.
	[bbe]	After him Amasiah, the son of Zichri, who freely gave himself to the Lord, and with him two hundred thousand men of war;
17:17	[hb5]	便雅憫族、是大能的勇士以利雅大、率領拿弓箭和盾牌的二十萬．
	[kjv]	And of Benjamin; Eliada a mighty man of valour, and with him armed men with bow and shield two hundred thousand.
	[bbe]	And the captains of Benjamin: Eliada, a great man of war, and with him two hundred thousand armed with bows and body-covers;
17:18	[hb5]	其次是約薩拔、率領預備打仗的十八萬。
	[kjv]	And next him was Jehozabad, and with him an hundred and fourscore thousand ready prepared for the war.
	[bbe]	And after him Jehozabad, and with him a hundred and eighty thousand trained for war.
17:19	[hb5]	這都是伺候王的。還有王在猶大全地堅固城所安置的不在其內。
	[kjv]	These waited on the king, beside those whom the king put in the fenced cities throughout all Judah.
	[bbe]	These were the men who were waiting on the king, in addition to those placed by the king in the walled towns through all Judah.
