约伯记 Job

14:1	[hgb]	人为妇人所生，日子短少，多有患难。
	[bbe]	As for man, the son of woman, his days are short and full of trouble.
14:2	[hgb]	出来如花，又被割下。飞去如影，不能存留。
	[bbe]	He comes out like a flower, and is cut down: he goes in flight like a shade, and is never seen again.
14:3	[hgb]	这样的人你岂睁眼看他吗？又叫我来受审吗？
	[bbe]	Is it on such a one as this that your eyes are fixed, with the purpose of judging him?
14:4	[hgb]	谁能使洁净之物出于污秽之中呢？无论谁也不能。
	[bbe]	If only a clean thing might come out of an unclean! But it is not possible.
14:5	[hgb]	人的日子既然限定，他的月数在你那里，你也派定他的界限，使他不能越过。
	[bbe]	If his days are ordered, and you have knowledge of the number of his months, having given him a fixed limit past which he may not go;
14:6	[hgb]	便求你转眼不看他，使他得歇息。直等他像雇工人完毕他的日子。
	[bbe]	Let your eyes be turned away from him, and take your hand from him, so that he may have pleasure at the end of his day, like a servant working for payment.
14:7	[hgb]	树若被砍下，还可指望发芽，嫩枝生长不息。
	[bbe]	For there is hope of a tree; if it is cut down, it will come to life again, and its branches will not come to an end.
14:8	[hgb]	其根虽然衰老在地里，干也死在土中。
	[bbe]	Though its root may be old in the earth, and its cut-off end may be dead in the dust;
14:9	[hgb]	及至得了水气，还要发芽，又长枝条，像新栽的树一样。
	[bbe]	Still, at the smell of water, it will make buds, and put out branches like a young plant.
14:10	[hgb]	但人死亡而消灭。他气绝，竟在何处呢？
	[bbe]	But man comes to his death and is gone: he gives up his spirit, and where is he?
14:11	[hgb]	海中的水绝尽，江河消散干涸。
	[bbe]	The waters go from a pool, and a river becomes waste and dry;
14:12	[hgb]	人也是如此，躺下不再起来。等到天没有了，仍不得复醒，也不得从睡中唤醒。
	[bbe]	So man goes down to his last resting-place and comes not again: till the heavens come to an end, they will not be awake or come out of their sleep.
14:13	[hgb]	惟愿你把我藏在阴间，存于隐密处，等你的忿怒过去。愿你为我定了日期，记念我。
	[bbe]	If only you would keep me safe in the underworld, putting me in a secret place till your wrath is past, giving me a fixed time when I might come to your memory again!
14:14	[hgb]	人若死了岂能再活呢？我只要在我一切争战的日子，等我被释放的时候来到（被释放或作改变）。
	[bbe]	If death takes a man, will he come to life again? All the days of my trouble I would be waiting, till the time came for me to be free.
14:15	[hgb]	你呼叫，我便回答。你手所做的，你必羡慕。
	[bbe]	At the sound of your voice I would give an answer, and you would have a desire for the work of your hands.
14:16	[hgb]	但如今你数点我的脚步，岂不窥察我的罪过吗？
	[bbe]	For now my steps are numbered by you, and my sin is not overlooked.
14:17	[hgb]	我的过犯被你封在囊中，也缝严了我的罪孽。
	[bbe]	My wrongdoing is corded up in a bag, and my sin is shut up safe.
14:18	[hgb]	山崩变为无有。磐石挪开原处。
	[bbe]	But truly a mountain falling comes to dust, and a rock is moved from its place;
14:19	[hgb]	水流消磨石头，所流溢的洗去地上的尘土。你也照样灭绝人的指望。
	[bbe]	The stones are crushed small by the force of the waters; the dust of the earth is washed away by their overflowing: and so you put an end to the hope of man.
14:20	[hgb]	你攻击人常常得胜，使他去世。你改变他的容貌，叫他往而不回。
	[bbe]	You overcome him for ever, and he is gone; his face is changed in death, and you send him away.
14:21	[hgb]	他儿子得尊荣，他也不知道。降为卑，他也不觉得。
	[bbe]	His sons come to honour, and he has no knowledge of it; they are made low, but he is not conscious of it.
14:22	[hgb]	但知身上疼痛，心中悲哀。
	[bbe]	Only his flesh still has pain, and his soul is sad.
