约伯记 Job

29:1	[hgb]	约伯又接着说，
	[bbe]	And Job again took up the word and said,
29:2	[hgb]	惟愿我的景况如从前的月份，如神保守我的日子。
	[bbe]	If only I might again be as I was in the months which are past, in the days when God was watching over me!
29:3	[hgb]	那时他的灯照在我头上。我借他的光行过黑暗。
	[bbe]	When his light was shining over my head, and when I went through the dark by his light.
29:4	[hgb]	我愿如壮年的时候，那时我在帐棚中。神待我有密友之情。
	[bbe]	As I was in my flowering years, when my tent was covered by the hand of God;
29:5	[hgb]	全能者仍与我同在。我的儿女都环绕我。
	[bbe]	While the Ruler of all was still with me, and my children were round me;
29:6	[hgb]	奶多可洗我的脚。磐石为我出油成河。
	[bbe]	When my steps were washed with milk, and rivers of oil were flowing out of the rock for me.
29:7	[hgb]	我出到城门，在街上设立座位。
	[bbe]	When I went out of my door to go up to the town, and took my seat in the public place,
29:8	[hgb]	少年人见我而回避，老年人也起身站立。
	[bbe]	The young men saw me, and went away, and the old men got up from their seats;
29:9	[hgb]	王子都停止说话，用手捂口。
	[bbe]	The rulers kept quiet, and put their hands on their mouths;
29:10	[hgb]	首领静默无声，舌头贴住上膛。
	[bbe]	The chiefs kept back their words, and their tongues were joined to the roofs of their mouths.
29:11	[hgb]	耳朵听我的，就称我有福。眼睛看我的，便称赞我。
	[bbe]	For when it came to their ears, men said that I was truly happy; and when their eyes saw, they gave witness to me;
29:12	[hgb]	因我拯救哀求的困苦人，和无人帮助的孤儿。
	[bbe]	For I was a saviour to the poor when he was crying for help, to the child with no father, and to him who had no supporter.
29:13	[hgb]	将要灭亡的为我祝福。我也使寡妇心中欢乐。
	[bbe]	The blessing of him who was near to destruction came on me, and I put a song of joy into the widow's heart.
29:14	[hgb]	我以公义为衣服，以公平为外袍和冠冕。
	[bbe]	I put on righteousness as my clothing, and was full of it; right decisions were to me a robe and a head-dress.
29:15	[hgb]	我为瞎子的眼，瘸子的脚。
	[bbe]	I was eyes to the blind, and feet to him who had no power of walking.
29:16	[hgb]	我为穷乏人的父，素不认识的人，我查明他的案件。
	[bbe]	I was a father to the poor, searching out the cause of him who was strange to me.
29:17	[hgb]	我打破不义之人的牙床，从他牙齿中夺了所抢的。
	[bbe]	By me the great teeth of the evil-doer were broken, and I made him give up what he had violently taken away.
29:18	[hgb]	我便说，我必死在家中（原文作窝中），必增添我的日子，多如尘沙。
	[bbe]	Then I said, I will come to my end with my children round me, my days will be as the sand in number;
29:19	[hgb]	我的根长到水边，露水终夜沾在我的枝上。
	[bbe]	My root will be open to the waters, and the night mist will be on my branches,
29:20	[hgb]	我的荣耀在身上增新，我的弓在手中日强。
	[bbe]	My glory will be ever new, and my bow will be readily bent in my hand.
29:21	[hgb]	人听见我而仰望，静默等候我的指教。
	[bbe]	Men gave ear to me, waiting and keeping quiet for my suggestions.
29:22	[hgb]	我说话之后，他们就不再说。我的言语像雨露滴在他们身上。
	[bbe]	After I had said what was in my mind, they were quiet and let my words go deep into their hearts;
29:23	[hgb]	他们仰望我如仰望雨，又张开口如切慕春雨。
	[bbe]	They were waiting for me as for the rain, opening their mouths wide as for the spring rains.
29:24	[hgb]	他们不敢自信，我就向他们含笑。他们不使我脸上的光改变。
	[bbe]	I was laughing at them when they had no hope, and the light of my face was never clouded by their fear.
29:25	[hgb]	我为他们选择道路，又坐首位。我如君王在军队中居住，又如吊丧的安慰伤心的人。
	[bbe]	I took my place as a chief, guiding them on their way, and I was as a king among his army. ...
