约伯记 Job

3:1	[hgb]	此后，约伯开口咒诅自己的生日，
	[bbe]	Then, opening his mouth, and cursing the day of his birth,
3:2	[hgb]	说，愿我生的那日，和说怀了男胎的那夜都灭没。
	[bbe]	Job made answer and said,
3:3	[hgb]
	[bbe]	Let destruction take the day of my birth, and the night on which it was said, A man child has come into the world.
3:4	[hgb]	愿那日变为黑暗。愿神不从上面寻找它。愿亮光不照于其上。
	[bbe]	That day--let it be dark; let not God take note of it from on high, and let not the light be shining on it;
3:5	[hgb]	愿黑暗和死荫索取那日。愿密云停在其上。愿日蚀恐吓它。
	[bbe]	Let the dark and the black night take it for themselves; let it be covered with a cloud; let the dark shades of day send fear on it.
3:6	[hgb]	愿那夜被幽暗夺取，不在年中的日子同乐，也不入月中的数目。
	[bbe]	That night--let the thick dark take it; let it not have joy among the days of the year; let it not come into the number of the months.
3:7	[hgb]	愿那夜没有生育，其间也没有欢乐的声音。
	[bbe]	As for that night, let it have no fruit; let no voice of joy be sounded in it;
3:8	[hgb]	愿那咒诅日子且能惹动鳄鱼的，咒诅那夜。
	[bbe]	Let it be cursed by those who put a curse on the day; who are ready to make Leviathan awake.
3:9	[hgb]	愿那夜黎明的星宿变为黑暗，盼亮却不亮，也不见早晨的光线（光线原文作眼皮）。
	[bbe]	Let its morning stars be dark; let it be looking for light, but may it not have any; let it not see the eyes of the dawn.
3:10	[hgb]	因没有把怀我胎的门关闭，也没有将患难对我的眼隐藏。
	[bbe]	Because it did not keep the doors of my mother's body shut, so that trouble might be veiled from my eyes.
3:11	[hgb]	我为何不出母胎而死。为何不出母腹绝气。
	[bbe]	Why did death not take me when I came out of my mother's body, why did I not, when I came out, give up my last breath?
3:12	[hgb]	为何有膝接收我。为何有奶哺养我。
	[bbe]	Why did the knees take me, or why the breasts that they might give me milk?
3:13	[hgb]	不然，我就早已躺卧安睡。
	[bbe]	For then I might have gone to my rest in quiet, and in sleep have been in peace,
3:14	[hgb]	和地上为自己重造荒邱的君王，谋士。
	[bbe]	With kings and the wise ones of the earth, who put up great houses for themselves;
3:15	[hgb]	或与有金子，将银子装满了房屋的王子一同安息。
	[bbe]	Or with rulers who had gold, and whose houses were full of silver;
3:16	[hgb]	或像隐而未现，不到期而落的胎，归于无有，如同未见光的婴孩。
	[bbe]	Or as a child dead at birth I might never have come into existence; like young children who have not seen the light.
3:17	[hgb]	在那里恶人止息搅扰，困乏人得享安息。
	[bbe]	There the passions of the evil are over, and those whose strength has come to an end have rest.
3:18	[hgb]	被囚的人同得安逸，不听见督工的声音。
	[bbe]	There the prisoners are at peace together; the voice of the overseer comes not again to their ears.
3:19	[hgb]	大小都在那里。奴仆脱离主人的辖制。
	[bbe]	The small and the great are there, and the servant is free from his master.
3:20	[hgb]	受患难的人，为何有光赐给他呢？心中愁苦的人，为何有生命赐给他呢？
	[bbe]	Why does he give light to him who is in trouble, and life to the bitter in soul;
3:21	[hgb]	他们切望死，却不得死。求死，胜于求隐藏的珍宝。
	[bbe]	To those whose desire is for death, but it comes not; who are searching for it more than for secret wealth;
3:22	[hgb]	他们寻见坟墓就快乐，极其欢喜。
	[bbe]	Who are glad with great joy, and full of delight when they come to their last resting-place;
3:23	[hgb]	人的道路既然遮隐，神又把他四面围困，为何有光赐给他呢？
	[bbe]	To a man whose way is veiled, and who is shut in by God?
3:24	[hgb]	我未曾吃饭就发出叹息。我唉哼的声音涌出如水。
	[bbe]	In place of my food I have grief, and cries of sorrow come from me like water.
3:25	[hgb]	因我所恐惧的临到我身，我所惧怕的迎我而来。
	[bbe]	For I have a fear and it comes on me, and my heart is greatly troubled.
3:26	[hgb]	我不得安逸，不得平静，也不得安息，却有患难来到。
	[bbe]	I have no peace, no quiet, and no rest; nothing but pain comes on me.
