约伯记 Job

42:1	[hgb]	约伯回答耶和华说，
	[bbe]	And Job said in answer to the Lord,
42:2	[hgb]	我知道，你万事都能做。你的旨意不能拦阻。
	[bbe]	I see that you are able to do every thing, and to give effect to all your designs.
42:3	[hgb]	谁用无知的言语，使你的旨意隐藏呢？我所说的，是我不明白的。这些事太奇妙，是我不知道的。
	[bbe]	Who is this who makes dark the purpose of God by words without knowledge? For I have been talking without knowledge about wonders not to be searched out.
42:4	[hgb]	求你听我，我要说话。我问你，求你指示我。
	[bbe]	Give ear to me, and I will say what is in my mind; I will put questions to you, and you will give me the answers.
42:5	[hgb]	我从前风闻有你，现在亲眼看见你。
	[bbe]	Word of you had come to my ears, but now my eye has seen you.
42:6	[hgb]	因此我厌恶自己，（自己或作我的言语）在尘土和炉灰中懊悔。
	[bbe]	For this cause I give witness that what I said is false, and in sorrow I take my seat in the dust.
42:7	[hgb]	耶和华对约伯说话以后，就对提幔人以利法说，我的怒气向你和你两个朋友发作，因为你们议论我，不如我的仆人约伯说的是。
	[bbe]	And it came about, after he had said these words to Job, that the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, I am very angry with you and your two friends, because you have not said what is right about me, as my servant Job has.
42:8	[hgb]	现在你们要取七只公牛，七只公羊，到我仆人约伯那里去，为自己献上燔祭，我的仆人约伯就为你们祈祷。我因悦纳他，就不按你们的愚妄办你们。你们议论我，不如我的仆人约伯说的是。
	[bbe]	And now, take seven oxen and seven sheep, and go to my servant Job, and give a burned offering for yourselves, and my servant Job will make prayer for you, that I may not send punishment on you; because you have not said what is right about me, as my servant Job has.
42:9	[hgb]	于是提幔人以利法，书亚人比勒达，拿玛人琐法照着耶和华所吩咐的去行。耶和华就悦纳约伯。
	[bbe]	And Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite, went and did as the Lord had said. And the Lord gave ear to Job.
42:10	[hgb]	约伯为他的朋友祈祷。耶和华就使约伯从苦境转回（苦境原文作掳掠），并且耶和华赐给他的，比他从前所有的加倍。
	[bbe]	And the Lord made up to Job for all his losses, after he had made prayer for his friends: and all Job had before was increased by the Lord twice as much.
42:11	[hgb]	约伯的弟兄，姐妹，和以先所认识的人都来见他，在他家里一同吃饭。又论到耶和华所降与他的一切灾祸，都为他悲伤安慰他。每人也送他一块银子和一个金环。
	[bbe]	And all his brothers and sisters, and his friends of earlier days, came and took food with him in his house; and made clear their grief for him, and gave him comfort for all the evil which the Lord had sent on him; and they all gave him a bit of money and a gold ring.
42:12	[hgb]	这样，耶和华后来赐福给约伯比先前更多。他有一万四千羊，六千骆驼，一千对牛，一千母驴。
	[bbe]	And the Lord's blessing was greater on the end of Job's life than on its start: and so he came to have fourteen thousand sheep and goats, and six thousand camels, and two thousand oxen, and a thousand she-asses.
42:13	[hgb]	他也有七个儿子，三个女儿。
	[bbe]	And he had seven sons and three daughters.
42:14	[hgb]	他给长女起名叫耶米玛，次女叫基洗亚，三女叫基连哈朴。
	[bbe]	And he gave the first the name of Jemimah, the second Keziah, and the third Keren-happuch;
42:15	[hgb]	在那全地的妇女中，找不着像约伯的女儿那样美貌。她们的父亲使她们在弟兄中得产业。
	[bbe]	And there were no women so beautiful as the daughters of Job in all the earth: and their father gave them a heritage among their brothers.
42:16	[hgb]	此后，约伯又活了一百四十年，得见他的儿孙，直到四代。
	[bbe]	And after this Job had a hundred and forty years of life, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, even four generations.
42:17	[hgb]	这样，约伯年纪老迈，日子满足而死。
	[bbe]	And Job came to his end, old and full of days.
